"Michiel painted an interior room for us some years ago and we were pleased with his thoroughness and attention to detail. We recently asked him to do the whole exterior. He was able to take this on in a timely fashion, and in investigating it identified a number of repairs required. He worked flexibly around the repairman and the installation of new french doors. He also fixed puttying and did extra hole fixes. The job has made the house look great. Michiel can be relied upon for quality work as his focus is how well it is done, not how quickly he can move to another job. We certainly recommend him."

"We had Michiel do some work for us 6 years ago and when we recently needed a full interior re-paint we knew we could only trust him to do the job. Especially since we were overseas during the work. He was very prompt with his communication and offered advice on colour selection. He even offered advice on our renos as they went on. His workmanship is top rate and he stuck to the timeline he had planned on from the start. This allowed our renovations to run smootly. Nothing was too much of an ask for him, he even came back after the job was finished to fix up a mistake made by another tradie. "I contracted Michiel from 1Brush to paint the entire inside of my house, including the ceilings. It took about two months in total. Michiel's attention to detail is impressive, and I found on several occasions that he went the extra mile to making sure that the job was done professionally - even painting bits that you wouldn't normally see inside cupboards, removing light fittings, curtain rails, smoke alarms and wall nails to make sure that nothing was missed. "I chose Michiel to paint several windows and a door in a studio I rent out. Painting was both internal and external. Michiel did a very good job. "Michiel is one of the most honest and trusting person I come across and his workmanship is absolutely amazing.
We had a very tiered looking roof and thought about have a new roof installed, instead we both decided to have it painted as there were nothing structurally wrong with it.
We contacted other painter for a quotes, but after talking with Michiel you could tell he knew what he was talking about and also advised on other options, which worked out really well.
When Michiel started, he never stopped all day,

We asked him to do a few extra paint and plaster jobs while he was here and he finished those with no problems.

"Did metal post painting for us and came out great. A big difference with our previous painter who said sand blasting, priming and painting would be enough now that job is rusting after only a few months. Michiel's work was detailed, well explained and carried through like a professional. Hence why we are hiring him again to redo the other side of the house for us.
