"We used 4Cet Plumbing back in 2022. We made the mistake of not getting a quote first and went ahead with a job because we thought it was a very small job. The job went on for much longer than we expected and costed many thousands of dollars more than we had had thought it would. We queried at the time why it was taking so long.
This year (2025), we had a leak in the room underneath our bathroom. It was bad enough that we had to claim insurance to get it sorted. The insurance company sent their own plumber to have a look and it became apparent that the guys from 4Cet Plumbing had failed to use washers when doing our job. This ended up costing us $1000 as we had to pay the excess. I contacted Tamaiti at 4Cet Plumbing who asked for details and photos, which I provided. He said he would look into this and get back to me. He never did. I followed up again and he didnt respond at all."

We had an electric/gas oven install and Tamaiti was extremely responsive to our need to have it installed without delay the same day we contacted him, after another tradesperson had fallen through. He was able to prioritise our job as a result of a cancellation the same day we called and talked us through all the preliminary checks (ie type of socket for the electric oven and current LPG fitting etc) over the phone and via text messages/photos before he arrived to ensure he was on top of all the job requirements. "Have used 4CET Plumbing and Gas for a number of years. Always excellent and competent. Tamaiti does the initial scoping of the work and Jim follows a few days afterwards to do the work and brings a colleague if needed. Both are really excellent and happy (professional). Great communication. Work delivered to standard needed. Everything v tidy afterwards. Good at checking things are still working after their work. House is 1920s California Bungalow. Gas work was v old slim pipe under deck with sml rusty hole leaking gas. Was fitted with new yellow gas pipe under decking. No more gas smell. Bathroom needed new toilet seat, seat lid and cistern, bath grouting and sink grouting. All sorted. Very happy thank you, again."

"We emailed 4cet plumbing on Sunday night with a request to fix a burst pipe. They emailed before 6.30am the next morning and was able to send William out right away. William did a great job, discovered the issue, and had it fixed before 9am. He advised of other pipes that may need attention in the future but wasn't pushy about getting that done right away.

"4CET Plumbing and Gas did a top quality job for us. They installed a new hot water cylinder in my laundry and capped off the pipes to the previous one which had been in my kitchen. They also repositioned our washing machine, which involved new piping and a new waste. They also arranged an electrician who worked in with them. Ryan, who did the job, was friendly and helpful and worked to minimise any disruption for us."

"My hot water cylinder leaked at two spots on a Sunday early morning. Not knowing which plumber has an excellent reputation, I spent hours on the internet to do some research. I decided to try 4CET Plumbing, which among a dozen plumbers in Wellington appeared to be the only one with authenticated ratings from customers, and almost all of them were positive. My research was worthwhile, because 4CET turned out to be very reliable and efficient, I rang and then completed the online request form on a Sunday around 2pm. When I asked, Tamaiti (the company owner?) indicated that his plumber could come the following day and that their working hours started at 7:30am. Soon after dinner time I received the estimated quote and then paid the required initial deposit. On the Monday morning, the plumber (Jim) arrived at 7:25am (!), whereas I had actually been wondering if I'd be lucky enough to see the plumber by 9am. Jim was polite, friendly, patient, clearly very experienced, and focussed on the job. He kept on working, and took only about 30 minutes for lunch break. As a result, my water heater cylinder was replaced within the same day! Jim even taught me how to flush the cylinder, both on the old and the new ones (They are of different models). I am very satisfied with 4CET Plumbing and will certainly call this company again if I need plumbers in the future."

"On first contact with the 4CET my query was handled efficiently by Tamaiti who extracted as much information as possible prior to the job to ensure the person coming to do the job had the appropriate parts. Not knowing much about plumbing I was not made to feel inadequate. Communications from Ryan and Tamaiti regarding timelines was exceptional and meant I could still continue doing jobs I'd planned. I thought to myself, wow, that sounds great if it was true. Long story short, it exceeded my expectations over and above. "Tamaiti is the best tradesperson I have worked with hands down!

We had a major leak in our house from the top floor into the garage and needed some one to urgently take a look. The situation was made more complex in that we lived overseas and our keys were with our property manager.

Tamaiti came strongly recommended from a friend and we called him in a panic around 5pm on a Saturday night. He was not only super calm and professional, he completely took control of the situation. He arranged directly with the property manager to pick up the keys and promptly went over to the property to investigate the issue. He was able to to isolate the leak immediately and provided us and the property manager with a report on the damage and what needed to be repaired complete with photos.

We went ahead with the repairs and within a few hours the leak was not only fixed, but he used higher quality replacement parts to prevent future leaks and even replaced a faulty laundry tap while he was on site.

When the bill came in, everything was detailed and clear and not only did we pay it, we chucked a bit of extra in there to shout Tamaiti a well earned beer or two. Because of Tamaiti's fast response time, the water leak was contained to a much smaller area and saved us thousands in damages.

I highly recommend 4CET plumbing and gas - you will not be dissapointed."
