We have a few concrete block walls on the inside, and Dave and his team were able to patch and repair the damages left by the electrician, which are indistinguishable from the original. Dave and his team also managed to paint all our unusually tall custom interior doors to a silky smooth finish, just like the day they left the door factory, where they used the baked-spray technique. All their crew members were friendly and courteous and showed up on time. I am very happy to recommend APC to my family and friends, and I do not doubt they will do a great job."

"Had the inside and outside windows painted on my outside. Old house so sash windows that made the job tricky. I work from home so requested one person to do the job and no distracting noise. Dave was able to accommodate this and the polite man (who did a wonderful job) I hardly knew was there. Dave kept in touch throughout - when some rotten wood was found around a door handle he arranged for it to be repaired - so went above and beyond. No short cuts were taken. My wife and I are very happy with the work."

"I selected Affordable Painting for my house maintenance project based on No Cowboys references and I have been delighted with the outcome. In addition to painting, our project included scaffolding, roofing, gutters, building, electrical and plumbing. David managed the project, arranging and coordinating the various trades in a timely manner and the project proceeded very smoothly despite being done in winter. All the people who came on site were pleasant to deal with and did high quality, professional work. David was very friendly, approachable and responsive. "The team completed the exterior painting of our apartment complex, including building, individual balconies and fence. We have a 68 unit complex so a huge job. David took care of the exterior clean, scaffold of 3 levels, communications which included cars to be moved when and what days what side would be painted so the owners could be kept informed, and of course the painting. "My new home was being renovated which had to be done in a very short space of time. David Anderson quoted the work and sent Thomas to begin. Conditions in the small site were difficult with often up to 11 tradespeople there at any one time. Thomas did a wonderful job despite the difficult conditions and was at all times cheerful and obliging. The paint standard of work is very good. As an interior designer, I employ tradespeople all the time and have since then used Affordable Painting on another project again to my satisfaction.

"We engaged David to paint a living room, entrance hall and some windows in our house. When David was briefed on the work we were clear that we were wanting a high standard of finish and were happy to pay for that, acknowledging it was an old house and would never be perfect. Unfortunately our experience left a lot to be desired. While the windows and entrance hall were done to a satisfactory standard the living room was so unsatisfactory we had to get David and his painter, Thomas, to return to re-do it. Quite simply it looked like a coat of paint had been slapped on the walls with minimal, if any, sanding or other preparation. Additionally, the following issues left a very unfavourable impression:

- Paint on the window fixtures and hot points because masking tape was not used
- No consistent use of drop cloths to cover furniture so dust (even allowing for some settling of dust from the air) and paint scrapings covered some furniture which we were left to clean up
- paint dribbled on the exterior deck where paint must have been poured from larger containers that has left an unsightly mess that will need to be sanded back and restained
- Masking tape still stuck to the top of the light fitting that needed to removed by us
- Paint flakes and dust dispersed over the front entrance and steps

There appeared to have been no final inspection by David of his painter's work to check that he and we were satisfied with it - we had to raise these issues ourselves.

David was willing to come around to get things fixed things up when we raised our concerns. But when providing feedback to David it was disappointing that he suggested that the job was a 'tidy up to sell' when we had been quite clear from the outset that it was not. We doubt the standard of finish would have done anything to help sell the house.

Overall, a disappointing experience and we would recommend caution in dealing with this outfit."

"We were caught short with our prearranged painter not being able to fit into our time frames so Dave came to the rescue. What a nice chap!! The way he presented himself and his company's ethos at our first meeting was impressive. This was backed up by the timeliness and quality of the job undertaken by his team.
