"We have used Astero Electrical many times over many years for renovations and repairs and they are excellent! Eugene does superb work, always high quality. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable and is able to diagnose problems quickly and correctly. We have had a variety of indoor and outdoor lights that needed repairing and he did a thorough assessment of each one to make sure he had the correct diagnosis and then carefully fixed each light. Some of the lights had some complex problems that required highly technical solutions. He's also installed lighting and timer devices and done wiring, etc. for a whole range of work for us. He is thorough and tidy and a calm worker. He regularly updates us while he's working to explain what the problem is and his proposed solution, always in plain language and patiently explaining to insure we understand. And he is always willing to go the extra mile with a smile on his face. We will continue to use Astero Electrical in the future for sure."

"It was life changing for me to fid Eugene wasn't another person who tries to take advantage of old ladies.
He was very professional and gave me a quote. I had been having a terrible time being batted back and forth between the power Company Trustpower and Vector. I had been through this with my previous power supplies Mercury who simply wouldn't accept that the power was being controlled to my water cylinder. It was. Something had been put in my meter box to allow the power lines people to restrict power to my water cylinder whenever they liked. We had been told by Mercury that it was so they didn't have to pay meter readers and that would benefit users financially. I had that thing ripped out and they said I would be charged $120 to remove it. I told them I would talk to the Commerce Commission about that as I had not had any say in the thing being installed. Mercury would not accept the electricians word that there was nothing wrong with my water cylinder.
I am 79 and find life difficult enough with a shoulder replacement as I live alone. It was unsafe to be stumbling around at night without light even to go to the toilet.
I nearly cried with relief when Eugene did his work and there was light. I hope he knows what a relief that was to an old lady. A million thanks to Eugene. I responded to an advert I found when I googled electricians. This was a very different experience that I had recently with a plumber called Tom who hides behind an 0800 number in the local paper."

He also helped make safe some previously dodgy electrical work, and was a great detective at finding out what some switches did that seemed to turn nothing on!

"Eugene at Astero was recommended to us a couple of years ago by a good builder we used around our house and we have since recommended him to friends of ours.
We have used Eugene for a number of jobs around our house over the last couple of years, (fixing a stove, fitting RCDs to the main board, installing lights & sensors, replacing phone, TV & Sky jacks and rerouting of cables etc...).
Eugene has always been happy to come out even though some of our jobs have been pretty small, he always arrived on time & charged a fair price. His workmanship is great and due to a couple of his suggestions on how to do things better we ended up with a tidier end result than I had originally thought we could achieve."
