We are licensed builders and have built over 200 decks, we have 19 years experience in the NZ building industry & offer competitive rates & free quotes.
What we do
We specialize in building quality decks & deck rebuilds. We offer competitive rates and free quotes to the North Shore, Waitakere and Rodney districts.
We are licensed builders and have been in the building industry for 19 years. Over the last 8 years we have been concentrating on building new decks and outdoor entertaining areas.
If you need us to design a deck or draw up plans to submit to council we are able to do this.
Because we are specialist deck builders we can design a deck that is cost effective compared with some architects that can sometimes unnecessarily over complicate design.
We are a family team of 3. We enjoy the hard work & everything we build is to a top standard,
We always work with the client to ensure we are both on the same page as to what is being built and how much it is going to cost. We try our best to keep disruption to a minimum and safety is always a top priority especially when little ones are present.

"Chris and Leigh completed a 43m2 deck on our slope backyard over a couple weeks and the result is astonishing. Really good quality, superb finishing, early than expected delivery and absolute legends to deal with. Easy to communicate and good value for money.
The deck will be a massive addition for our summer and they certainly battle through the weather heat to deliver it.

"Absolutely fantastic experience. Excellent workmanship and all in all good lads. A bit pricier than the competition, but well worth it. One suggestion would be to cover the nearby area (house) with something so it doesn't get stained from the kwila leaching - was told it will disappear with sun and rain, but seems easily avoidable. Not a negative at all though, have already and would recommend them to others."

"Jamie and his team have just completed extensive kwila decking and walkways for us. The deck installation was quite tricky, as it had to be installed on posts in the ground and on the top of existing uneven concrete and paths but Jamie and his team did a really proffessional job, we are extremely happy with the result!
They transformed a patchy, mishmash of concrete, grass and crappy pine decking into even level, top quality, beautiful decking, worthy of any of those flashy Home and Lifestyle mags!
I have been in the building trade for 45 years so I have worked alongside with some so-called deckies and have seen the "Home made decks!", the " I've got the job, so lets cut the corners deck!" and the "Promise you the earth but will leave you with the problem decks!", which is why I came to Nocowboys.
True to the site, we found Jamie and his team.
Nothing "Homemade" about our Deck! No shortcuts, no, "Sorry leave you with it we are out of here!" Just great professionalism, workmanship and value!

"I've had three houses built and done various additions, but this was simply the best ever. Chris, Uncle Phil and "Thames" seemed so happy in their work and never grumbled when it poured with rain or got really hot - in fact I am sure Thames was close to heat-stroke!
Over three weeks they turned a kilometre of kwila into the the most wonderful looking deck and by the end of the job my wife was really sad that they'd gone, they were so friendly and pleasant in answering all her questions and explaining what they were doing. They even went the extra mile and dug some holes for her to plant shrubs,

"Great job. These guys are top-end builders but they differentiate themselves from your average builders with their professionalism from first contact through to clean-up. Chris is the point pre-sale and encourages - almost insists on - lots of questions and really enjoys guiding potential customers through the pre-purchase phase. They aren't rock-bottom price-wise so if you're in the market to haggle a bargain on an average deck you're better off looking for a generalist builder in between jobs. If you're looking for value, to deal with people who'll go the extra mile to exceed expectations and, ultimately, a superior deck I can vouch for Concept Decks."
