"When replacing our french doors, we contacted Dave of Mobile Locksmiths, in advance for some pre-purchase advise. Dave provided some important information on sizing to insure our chosen locks and handles would fit. Dave also provided some handle catalogues to assist us in shapes and designs in handles and purchased these on our behalf. Fitting locks and handles into wooden joinery is an art and having someone with all the templates certainly made it a pain free experience. Locks and handles fitted, spare keys cut, and mess tided up. Would highly recommend Dave's friendly and helpful nature to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy locksmith."

"I had arranged for someone to come fix the lock on my screen door as it was not locking properly. The guy that came to do the job "fixed" it within approximately 15-20 mins. I tried the door once and it appears to have been fixed, I paid the standard call out fee and he went on his way. Later that day, I had tried the lock again, and found it had not been fixed as I was still unable to lock the door. I texted them telling them about the problem and they arranged a time to come over the next day to have another look. This time, I was told the lock was broken so I would need a new lock. I was unsatisfied with this response as I felt if that was the case, it should have been explained to me by the first guy, instead of me paying $92 for a job that wasn't done properly. When I texted them again, asking for a refund as the lock is as it was BEFORE it was "fixed", I did not get a reply. Would not recommend!!!"

"Although I have marked less than 100% for reliability & communication, I have no hesitation in recommending Dave and his team and would most certainly use them again.

I was given what I consider a very reasonable price for fitting a complete lot of handles for entire house (already purchased). They were professional, thorough and did a great job...I\'m wrapped!

However, they were late in turning up (I had to phone to find out where they were), and the job took far longer than expected. Also whilst Dave was very good at cleaning up while he was there, once he was gone the other guy didn\'t clean up after himself, and I was left to tidy up and vaccuum again, further delaying my weekend away.

All that said...thanks once again to Dave and team, for helping transform my interior :)"

"This business did contact after the set time for arrival. And did produce a result on that day. However, I found the call out fee ($92) for a job that had been flagged to them as "at your convenience" was excessive. Unfortunately, I was so flummoxed at the time I did not think to query the charge - and paid it."

"Dave was 30 mins late and I had to ring him to find out what was happening. This was frustrating as I had a lot to do which I had said when I booked the job. The job also took longer than originally indicated, partly, I believe, because he had to go and get another battery for his drill (because it was flat). This meant that he was still working while I was hosting friends for lunch. He did a good job when he was there but I don\'t think I would rate him over and above any other locksmith especially as I find tardiness and lack of communication about being late inconsiderate."

"Dave has done work for me on 4 different homes over the last 10 years, from when he was working for Alert Locksmiths to setting out on his own. He has always been extremely professional and his charges are reasonable (not cheap, not expensive). Dave is dependable and does top quality work. The people he has working with/for him are clearly carefully chosen also.

"I called Dave to unlock an antique cabinet where the key had been lost. He arrived the same day, and not only did he open the cabinet, he had a beatiful looking key cut to fit the locks, returning the next day!. The key is a darling and he did that on his own initiative, just said that he thought that style of key would match the cabinet best - star!!!

While chatting, he mentioned the front door lock looked like it was sticking. He was right - and as I had just moved he suggested changing the lock, adding a deadbolt option and securing the door to the internal garage while he was at it. He also said he'd match the silver finish of all the other door handles in the house (such attention to detail!), and all the locks now open with the same one key.

Dave was pleasant, proactive and purposeful - a real pleasure. At no time did I feel pressured to follow his advice, but I am very glad I did - he's worth every (very reasonable) penny. Although he is clearly in demand, he never seemed rushed and even vaccuumed before he left. He's an angel and I cannot recommend him more highly - use him, and listen to his gentle advice!"
