"Elliott Electrical was approached to replace old and failing LED luminaires providing illumination on two of the courts of Karori United Tennis Club with new luminaires purchased by the club. It provided an estimate for the site work, including the necessary hiring of an elevating platform vehicle (EPV), that was accepted by the club. A date was chosen to carry out the work, which fortunately turned out to be suitable weatherwise. The EPV was delivered before the work commenced, the company staff arrived on time and the replacement work, which included the fitting of safety tethers to the new luminaires, was completed during the day in good time. The club is very satisfied with the service provided by the company and would employ it again for any necessary electrical work."

Most recently, Dan and Jakob relocated a TV from sitting on top of an entertainment unit to wall hanging it in a different location, this involved relocating data ports and a coax cable too.

Dan and Jakob were very professional and patient, going the extra mile in ensuring the routing of the coax cable was done better than the original.

"Duncan and his team made a number of visits to my house from November last year to March this year for electrical work during major renovations. Communication with Duncan was excellent and he was very helpful and flexible when changes needed to be made to the work schedule. All the guys were efficient on the job and communicated well. Shivnay had a tricky job to re-run a submain cable but he completed it without a hitch and worked well with the builders. Dan disconnected the heatpump for the builders and then reconnected a few months later in time for winter. The guys also fitted new outdoor security lights over two visits, firstly to use the scaffolding and then later when the scaffolding was removed to do the lower level ones. I knew Duncan from when he first did some electrical work for me some years ago during a kitchen renovation so I was glad he was available for this work and I will be keen to use him again in the future."

"My outside security light was only working with one bulb pointing in one direction. I called Elliot Electrical to have this rectified, the electrician was here for 1 hour. He didn’t stay to test whether it was working. This cost just under $285.60, I now have 2 new bulbs that won’t switch off. Therefore I have to switch it off at the wall during the day and switch it on again at night, it then shines all night. This is not A good solution and I can’t afford to pay more to have it rectified. Consequently a disappointing result."

I did not realise the seriousness of the problem, which involved a fault in the power cables entering the house. Duncan was very efficient and contacted my electricity supplier immediately to request a linesman come to switch off the outside power to the house. "We had two Cat6 cables installed, to go from the fibre gateway (modem+router) to the study at the back of the house. Dan and Robin did in fact arrive 4 days earlier than we'd been expecting them -- not sure how that happened. They did a very clean neat job, with the Cat6 cables following the route of the coax TV cable up the wall into the ceiling cavity, and across and down into the study."

We first discovered Duncan and the team a few years ago.
