"I texted Andy on a public holiday as our toilet cistern had stopped working and he immediately text me back saying could I send him a photo of the toilet and that he'd be in touch the next day which he did, first thing. After our initial texts discussing the problem, he then sourced a new cistern for us and arrived the following day to install. "Andy was a real professional to deal with. The waste disposal unit had disconnected itself and dropped to the bottom of the cupboard. Contacted Andy who understood the situation at once and advised he would come to fix it same day. He kept me posted with his time of arrival as he had to travel from Howick to Beachlands, so there was no waiting and wondering where he was. "I have used Andy a few times for plumbing at our home, but was very disappointed the last time. In May he came to do a couple of jobs, one of which was discussing a difficulty with a wall-hung toilet seat. After discussion he said he would contact the supplier for answers to the questions that he did charge me for discussing. After months and no replies to texts or emails, a last request for a response came back with him saying he was too busy, and someone else could help. I found this a very disappointing response. He had said the supplier would be able to provide what was needed at a much cheaper rate, than if we found it from someone else, but although he charged for the discussion, obviously didn't ever get round to the follow-up. I will use someone else next time."

"Needed an emergency fix on a blocked sink waste disposal pipe. Andy was able to come over the same day, and managed to fix a problem that has been building up over a long period of time. He was brilliant at problem solving and didn’t hesitate to climb under the house to get to the bottom of the issue. He even found and quickly fixed another issue that we weren’t aware of so saved us from having a problem down the line. "Found Andy on No Cowboys and texted him a message, within minutes I received a response. First he said that he maybe able to make it in the afternoon, but instead he contacted me back and said he would be earlier. Andy turned up at the agreed time and got straight into it. I had to have a waste disposal unit replaced. After a quick inspection he grabbed his tools and started the work. I had a great chat to Andy as he worked. He was very friendly and professional. I'm not surprised that he has so many positive reviews. He did the job efficiently and left the job in a clean state. If you need a plumber I would high recommend Andy. "I contacted Andy when I was alerted to a water leak by Watercare. I contacted Andy and although he had a lot of work on, he still found time to come and assess the problem.

He arranged for a new pipe to be laid from the water meter to the house which involved digging a trench and lifting up some concrete pavers. The work was carried out in a professional manner, the pavers were expertly replaced and my property was left in a very tidy state.

"We had a leaking waste disposal. I phoned Andy and he was here within a couple of hours !!! Not only did he sort everything out but he rectified a low cold water pressure problem we had on the kitchen mixer tap that a previous plumber had stuffed up !!! "Had a low pressure issue(specially hot water). First day he came and had a look on the problem and gave me 2 options. Repair the old hot water cylinder or replace it with a new one. Guess what, he didn't even charge me for the first visit.
So i decided to replace the old low pressure cylinder with new one. I also got him to fix some more little plumbing issues as well. Overall a happy customer. Highly recommend Andy for all your plumbing issues."

"I was very happy with Andy's friendly personality, professional manner, communication skills and workmanship. From initial contact until Andy arrived was less than 2 hours. Andy was working a job at the time I called, yet still made time to discuss my problem (a broken water line to our house). As soon as he was able, he let me know when he would be arriving, and was very punctual. He did a great job of solving the leak and his billing was reasonably priced. "Andy was absolutely fantastic. Showed up on time or early and talked me through the faults/issue and all options to repair it. After the initial consult he finished the water mains leak in a couple of hours. He also crawled under the house to double check there were no other issues and found a small leak in our pipes. "We had a leaking hot water cylinder and decided to have it fixed just before Christmas. I contacted a few other dealers before contacting Andy. No one could attend to it during the holiday season, yet Andy was able to provide a quote and decided to work on the job within half an hour. Within half a day he's already on the job and the next morning a new cylinder is in place. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks Andy!"

"A leak was discovered on New Years day, I called Handy Andy Plumbers the morning of 2-Jan. Spoke to Andy and was very happy to hear that he was still around in Auckland and could pop by and sort it out. He showed up and not only fixed the leak but all sorted out the path the pipe took so it was not exposed as it was before. Very happy with the quality of work and pricing. "If ever you need a plumber, especially in an emergency, just call Andy. He will not disappoint. Needed a plumber very urgently as I had an underground leak near the mains. Watercare confirmed that it was not the meter and leak detector traced it to about a metre down the pipe from the mains.

Andy came the moment I told him the problem and even arranged for the concrete cutter to get the job done immediately..Problem solved and leak stopped all within a couple of hours after the leak detector marked off the possible leak area.

He's my plumber for life now."

"Called Andy regarding a shower that was playing up and sometimes just giving cold water (just what everyone wants in winter!).
Andy was easy to communicate with and friendly to deal with. He popped over and recommended the shower head/hose be replaced which wasn't the part I was expecting. After replacing the head/hose he let us try it for a few days to confirm the issue was gone before billing us which I appreciated.

Issue was solved and all in all very happy with how things went."

"My kitchen had a faulty tap and a leaking pressurized pipe which is leaving puddles of water on my kitchen floor. Andy was fast to respond and carry out the work quickly and efficiently. I tried calling so many big plumbing companies and they all quoted a price which was significantly higher than what Andy has charged me. "We had to replace a kitchen tap a look in the Grey Power discount book and picked Handy Andy, a talk to the neighbour who said he had done a go job for her.
A look on his web site and a phone call to come the next day he arrived on time with a choice of two taps we picked the one we liked.
It was not a easy place to get into to fit the new tap (no problem to Andy) he left it all neat and tidy, and the price for the new tap and labour was exellent, we can definitely recommend Andy and will use his service again.Thanks Andy."

"We just had a new kitchen installed and contacted Andy to see if he could help hook up the sink, tap mixer, waste master and dishwasher. He got back to us quickly and offered to come round the next morning to take a look. There were a few issues with the existing tap and the way the kitchen was installed, but that was no problem for Andy and he sorted them out for us.
