Communication was great, Kim was on time and serviced the unit giving me general info about the unit and its condition. What I liked especially was that Kim doesn't use overly scented cleaning items.

"We required servicing for 4x high-wall heat pump units (internal and external units). Kim responded to my call immediately, gave a thorough description of what works he would complete and arranged a time to do the work within a week. The time had to be changed, which he communicated a couple of days in advance. Full communication on the day, servicing and maintenance work was a breeze, minimal disruption to us. Very cost effective, and excellent communication, which is a big contrast to the company who sold us the units, who charge a massive amount to undertake servicing and in our experience have given very poor service with poor communication. We'll lock Kim in for future and suggest you do as well."

"As we maintain our unit regularly there was really nothing for Kim to do. He washed the outside of our unit and washed the filter inside and looked at the settings on the wall and he changed the fan speed. "Overall I have been disappointed with the heat pump installed at ......... It blows so much cold air onto the living area it took some time to arrange furniture to enable a degree of comfort. The controls are over complicated and I usually turn it off at night rather than reset controls every use. The appliance in the carport is very loud.
I do believe I received a greater level of warmth and comfort for the two old oil filled electric i gave away in over excitement with new pump."

"Kim and his team quoted and installed a couple of heat pumps for us in some flats. The installs were a bit tricky given the configuration of the units, but Kim came up with great solutions re unit placement, and they look great. They cleaned up after themselves, and we have since had a tenant call us to confirm his heating bill has dropped dramatically now he has a heat pump installed. "Last weekend (Easter '22) our aging heat pump developed a problem, it would only blow out cold air even when set to heat.

I contacted five local businesses and Kim from Heat Pump Services was the only one that responded promptly (of the others two replied 4 to 5 days later, one made an appointment and didn't show up the and the fifth didn't reply at all). Kim diagnosed the fault and suggested options to fix it but in the end we decided on a new replacement unit. We scheduled an install two days later and only briefly discussed price. The installer, Travis, arrived on time and had the old unit removed and new unit installed quite quickly. There was a discussion about the new features we had not seen before.

All in all, the process was very smooth and professional. We wish we had access to Heat Pump Services for our past installs. We are very happy with the whole job, the new unit works perfectly, our power bill has dropped dramatically (30Kw per day with convection and fan heaters vs 16Kw per day with the heatpump). We would recommend Heat Pump Services to everyone without hesitation."

"I had a heat pump installed by these people. There was no issue with the job done but the price quoted for the installation was very high based on an experience the installer had in a previous apartment in this building.

The installation was a breeze with everything exactly where it was in the drawings and the installer was in and out in probably less time that a standard back to back job. All the pipes and electrical feed were already in place. The installer walked away with over $2k for his three and a half hours. I invited him to make a reduction based on actual time taken but he did not respond which left me feeling ripped off.

If I had my time over, I would ask for a standard back to back installation with provision for adjustment where installation went over time.

If you own an apartment, be cautious of this installer, indeed any installer who prices contingencies in that end up not actually there."

The install date was set but when Andy (the installer) arrived he realised he could not install the outside unit as the ground was too steep. He had to postpone until the following week to get a wall bracket. The following week he turned up promptly and did a quick, clean and efficient installation. "We were struggling to get a suitable heat pump just before Xmas due to leaving things too late and the problems with availability from Covid19 and the all the shipping issues at the moment. Kim somehow managed to find the last 6kW Mitsubishi in the country and had it sent up from Christchurch for us so he could install it 2 days before Xmas.
