"I met Chris while he was doing a bathroom for my neighbour.
I live in a Boutique Block of 7 apartments in Grafton which is just finishing a weathertight reclad. This reclad has taken nearly 18 months heaps of money, very little communication from the contractor and a budget that has blown out due to the time that the company took to complete.
To get our CCC we were suddenly told by Council that 5 of us had to replace our gas hot water cylinders with electric ones inside our apartments. The contractors we were using gave us a quote but I asked Chris if he would be interested to put a quote in as well.
So glad I did.. Chris was lower, efficient, on the ball, had amazing communication and did all 5 new Cylinders in the quoted time.
His carpenters, Denver and Dave are solid young men with good workmanship and pleasant demeaners. His sub trades, gas fitters, plumbers and electricians were also on time, efficient and professional. There was one trade that unfortunately let him down and that was the painter who was doing the touch up plastering and painting ... that was a pity on what was an excellent job!!
I would use Chris again and can fully recommend his quoting for price, delivery and communication..... I am sure he will sort his painter out !!

"This is a very belated review of the work the HomePro team did in my house in 2022 and 2023.
Chris Gregory and his partner Vanessa clearly operate their business from a values and integrity base.
They were professional, transparent and friendly/approachable.
I had my very small bathroom and toilet overhauled first. The HomePro team managed to convert it from a 1960s awkward space into a 2020s lovely open space. Loved it. And I am a bit of a stickler for quality …
My trust and confidence in the team lead by project manager Darren helped my next decision to completely renovate my kitchen the following year.
The kitchen conversion was amazing.The team of

"We were very pleased with the major 4 month renovation project managed by HomePro. Every stage from design recommendations through to completion of work went flawlessly. Communications with Chris were clear and response was always fast and helpful. Importantly for us, the project was completed on-time and within budget. An example of the high professional standards Chris and his company work to was when a pipe started leaking in the bathroom ceiling overnight, close to project completion. No fault of HomePro incidentally. Chris was on holiday but responded immediately to an early morning call, had an expert clean-up company on site that morning, worked closely with neighbours (it's an apartment) and managed to keep the project on track to completion. Using a professional company that HomePro is with the high standards that Chris sets and demands of his suppliers and subcontractors proved to be a very good decision, and we would strongly recommend them to others."

"This is the second time we have used Homepro. Firstly for an ensuite renovation in 2020 and late last year for a remodelled kitchen. "Had several meetings and discussions scoping project. Then several discussions on pricing. Agreed. This is key as when job completed there were no surprises. A couple of unders and a couple of overs, but in the end job was just under expected pricing. All work was to a very high standard with skilled crafts people. Actually engaged painters to do additional work. Job took a little longer than expected but put that down to crafts people taking pride in their work and working slowly and carefully. There were no mistakes and no call backs."

"We selected HomePro after consulting with two other businesses. Our choice was driven by the owners explanation of their experience and professionalism! As our project evolved, things did not go to plan and we were disappointed that the insinuations were that it was partly our fault for not leaving a key (we refused) and or that it was because we selected products (tiles) that HomePro would not have recommended. As the relationship became more stressful communication got more strained.

I must stress that the individual Trades people involved in the project were all lovely people and I’d use them again. However, in the end we felt that we were out of pocket because we had to return tiles that were bought directly by us.

When we placed the order for tiles, we informed Glenn who went to our supplier and afterwards commented that they were non standard and very heavy. The builder installed Acqua Line Gib. After the floor tiles were laid, the Tiler became concerned that the weight per square meter exceeded the specs for the Gib on the wall. We were informed that we needed to make a choice of stripping everything again so that a stronger wall board could be installed or we had to select different tiles. We chose the latter and in a few hours selected differ tiles.

It became our responsibility to have the remaining tiles removed from our home and restocked with the supplier. It cost us a restocking fee and we had to pay for the tiles that were used on the floor.

The new tiles were installed without issue and our bathroom looks great. On receiving the final invoice, I suggested that it was unfair that we had to pay for the removal of the tiles and had to pay for the wasted tiles as we were not experienced enough to know they would be wrong and placed full reliance on HomePro’s knowledge and experience. They said they had never come across a similar situation and that they were not responsible. Additionally, I asked for a breakdown of all charges reconciled to the original quote. This was not done (all the costs were grouped into trades but it made it difficult for me to reconcile to the original quote) but I was reminded that the final payment was due immediately. I immediately paid the account on the 17 January 2020.

Since the completion of the bathroom and the payment of the final account, there has never been a final inspection. I have not received any training or explanation as to how the underfloor heating works. I have not got any written instructions on the system. I have not received any producer statements or warranty on the water proofing. I have not received a Certificate of Completion for any of the electrical work undertaken.

I am bitterly disappointed with the way in which we as customers have been treated. The final payment has been made so I no longer matter.

I cannot recommend this business. It has been a disappointing experience."

"This was a very pleasant experience of home renovations for us, particularly when you hear of the very stressful situations that some customers have experienced through other providers. HomePro was extremely professional in all their dealings with us from their first visit to prepare an estimate of cost, right through to the completion of the job.

They always communicated well, and we always knew in advance which trades people were due to arrive on a particular day, when they were due to arrive, and what they would be doing. Each tradesperson was polite, efficient, respectful of our home, and carried out their work in a very tidy and efficient manner. Any unexpected problems were fully discussed with us, and advice was freely given as to the best way to proceed. I was amazed at how tidy the job was left each day - all rubbish taken away every day, in fact my neighbours were amazed to know HomePro had actually been here doing a complete bathroom/toilet refit and there was no mess! The job was finished on time. Given the current news about tradespeople in premises, I was totally comfortable with these people having access to my house when I wasnt here. I would definitely recommend them. A job well done!"

"HomePro are an absolute pleasure to work with.

We had a fair amount of renovation work to do, and were very new to the process. Both Roy and Dan were so great to deal with, and were always on hand to provide advice and suggestions on how to ensure we weren\'t spending large amounts of money unnecessarily. They were also receptive to our ever changing minds and ideas.

We were provided with daily progress updates on the work, and when we had any unforeseen issues caused by other contractors, their team were always on hand to put it right.

I can\'t speak highly enough about Homepro, and would gladly recommend them to anyone."

"A very special thank you to the Home Pro team for a job well done. The team moved and changed a hot water cylinder, completely re-modelled our bathroom/laundry and completed bathroom alterations in another bathroom. The tradesman were polite and the work was of a very high standard. A special thank you to Glen the plumber who came out early Sunday morning - after the rugby - to plumb in my washing machine! We would also like to add that all the work was completed under budget.
We would not hesitate to recommend Home Pro and will definitely use them again."
