"Rob has specialised in hot water systems and it shows. I was impressed by his thoroughness as he does additional checks and fixes to ensure future proofing of the work done. I had an element replace and soon realised that it was not simply a case of pulling the old one out and inserting a new one. Now I know how to drain a hot water system, where the fuse is in the outside electrical box, what affect the damaged element has on various components of the system, the type of system I have and issues that occur with them etc. etc. He has a lot of experience. "Our water bill increased by half and we saw the Rheems hot water cylinder overflow pipe trickling non-stop. "We had a Rheem hot water cylinder with seriously reduced water pressure. I called and Rob answered patiently. After calling several other plumbers, I decided on Rob. He showed up on time despite the heavy traffic, and immediately saw a valve was installed upside down, though that wasn't the cause of the problem. Then he replaced another leaking valve and turned a third valve wider open. He cleaned up thoroughly after finishing and explained what he was doing, though he could have told me the cost of replacing the valve, but I think he was concentrating on the job at that moment. Overall, I would recommend Rob to anyone who needs a hot water cyclinder fixed professionally and fast."

"Rob arrived on time and diagnosed the problem correctly, so he knows what he's doing. I was informed until I decide if I wanted Gas/Electrical replacement system he'd have a replacement system for $150/week hire, which I agreed to. But I have just learnt that he will charge me $450 for a weeks hire, which definitely I was NOT informed. Secondly when I politely provided him feedback that i'll pay for the job anyways but you should communicate better going forward, he was very defensive, big headed and said he wouldn't change a thing. Very poor attitude from a tradie, who i'm payin top $ to do a good job and provide good customer service. I have learnt a rather expensive lesson to get everything in writing and not go by good faith, I wish you do too or you'll find more honest feedback reported here."

"I was amazed about the prompt service of Rob. I only rang at 7.15 pm on Monday and he arrived at 8.30 pm as he promised he would be. He had to come from Torbay to New Lynn. He was very thorough and did not mind I was hovering around him so I could understand what the problem was with my hot water cylinder. After excluding the common issues, he noticed a very small trail of moist (coming from the toilet upstairs) going into the switch of the cylinder, which caused it to short circuit. All it needed was a replacement of the affected part of the switch. I really appreciate his promptness, friendliness and workmanship. And I will highly recommend him to any body in Auckland."

"Emailed Conpany late at night describing hot water problem. Had a phone call first thing the next day followed by Rob turning up before lunchtime. Solved my problem and identified another that needed attention. Awesome communication, detailed invoice, great workmanship and a nice guy. No hesitation in recommending or using again if need arises. And he has EftPos so you can pay on the spot!"

"We could't have been happier with Rob's service and advice. He saved us (actually, our landlord) hundreds of dollars by diagnosing the problem from a distance and narrowing the fault down to the thermostat from just a few photos and explanation of the problem from us. Sure, the whole water heater may need replacing sooner rather than later but for now it's fixed for chump change compared to a full water cylinder.

I echo the sentiments of other reviewers that Rob isn't out to make money by selling you something you don't need. With his level of service I'd suggest he's more likely out to make friends!

I can't recommend Rob highly enough. If our system does blow, he's the one we're gonna call."

"It was a couple of days after the recent storm that we noticed our hot water was out. We rang Rob to get him to sort it and he agreed to come out that afternoon. However he rang back 30mins later saying he'd fielded a number of calls from our area and that it was most likely a continuing network fault from the wild weather.

Although he didn't do any work for us I appreciated his honesty in calling back when he could have easily came out and pocketed an easy call out fee. Because of this I would not hesitate in calling or recommending him for any hot water problems in the future.
Again, appreciate the honesty over just making a quick buck... Top bloke"

"We rang Rob just before 6 on a Friday pm and yet he came straight out. He explained things exceptionally clearly, diagnosed the problem and worked flat out to sort it out with advice for follow up. Brilliant service and a great guy too. The bill didn't even require a trip to the mortgage lenders! "Brilliant service. Our thermostat packed in the Friday before christmas and Rob came out the same day. He explained what was wrong really clearly and even lent us a thermostat overnight so that we wouldn't have to do without hot water!!
Unfortunately we needed a new hot water cylinder but it was all in and fitted the next day at a really good price.

Highly recommended. Lovely guys."
