Now to do builders report for my next property I am going to take Alisa’s company service . I fully trust them . Apart of their good knowledge and services they… are very kind, good behavior and never make you fell uncomfortable even you ask them as many questions you want happy to answer your questions . I can trust them 100%.
They are the best . Always recommend them.
The report was well written. Not just a tick box.
Great manner. Great service. Thank you
"They went above and beyond their work, talking us through anything we didn't understand, and even made sure that some work on the house done by the… Vendors before settlement was up to industry standards. I can't thank them enough for their assistance and caring.
"The reports were very detailed and were particularly helpful in one instance where we decided against buying a house due to it… being potentially leaky. Due to the nature of buying and selling things often happen last minute and Ailsa fitted us recently and it enabled us to make a offer on a house which we ended up buying.
Phil is always available to talk over his report which means if there is anything you don't quite understand or need clarification on he will talk you through it. I have absolutely no hesitation on highly recommending Inspectionplus and would use them again.
Both Phil and Ailsa were perfect harmonious partners in getting our pre-purchase building inspection sorted (also available instantly to help answer any of my questions when needed), and in fact I recall that I first approached them on a late afternoon via telephone call, and Phil was kind enough… to adjust his schedule to get the inspection done early in the next morning.
The follow up communication and reports produced from the inspection was very highly detailed, and drafted in a way in which anybody could understand very easily. I am not sure whether this was standard practice, but I was very surprised and thankful when Phil extracted the core parts of the report to create a separate report that the vendor of the property could see and be directed to the issues. This helped facilitate a smooth turn of events that ultimately led to the current stage now, where the previously identified issues are in the process of being remediated in accordance with Phil's recommendations. All I can say is that Phil and Ailsa has gone the extra mile, and I could see that this level of professionalism and attention to customer satisfaction was not new for them, and already embedded as part of their standard approach to all customers.
I have already recommended Phil and Ailsa to a few colleagues of mine who are currently also looking for a property, and I am sure that they will be as satisfied as I was if they choose to engage in Phil and Ailsa's services.
We were disappointed that the report was not completed when we understood the timeframe to be. We had agreed to a 24h delay in the planned inspection for Phil and Ailsa's personal circumstances, but were promised the report that same night. This expectation was not met (it came the next morning), but when I questioned it, it was… implied that I was incorrect rather than simply apologising.
Apart from that issue, Phil and Ailsa were reliable and communicated regarding the job.
Then the actual inspection was very prompt and thorough. They found a number of issues (as would be expected with an old house), but they contextualised these issues and gave very clear options as to how we could deal with them.… Rather than just give us a laundry list of problems with the house, they gave us a clear priority list of what we needed to deal with immediately and what was just standard maintenance.
As a result of the inspection, we negotiated the price down a smidge, and bought the house with confidence, knowing exactly what we're going to need to take care of once we move in. I could not ask for a better inspection service.
Phil has done four… inspections on my behalf (2 unconditional offers that we didn't win, 1 offer that was accepted but Phil's pointing out some issues saved us from making a wrong buying decision and the fourth is the our first home that we live). Phil not only provides reports, he also provided objective advise that helped me take confident/informed decisions (yes or no).
I will trust Phil/Ailsa anytime & every time. If you need further confirmation of how they helped secure our first home give me a call at 021 813 801.
I didn’t pay a single dollar but still they protect me from buying wrong house. Ailsa asked me to check some initial points about that house which become crucial for choosing that house.
And after that I googled and talked to few others NZIBS registered surveyor(http://www.nzibs.org.nz/) and the result came out from that is the same which “Capital House… Inspections - Inspection Plus” told me very first stage.
Much much appreciated your help Ailsa. You not only save builder report cost i.e. $500-$750 but also protect me to buy wrong house.
If I buy any house in near future, I would defiantly like to take your service.
Highly recommend to others.
Regards,
Kuntal
It was really a blessing that I did not buy the first house we looked at. I would not know that it was a leaky home if not for your advise. The building… inspection was really worth it. Now, my wife and I are very happy that we have found a good house. Thank you for all your help. I will definitely recommend you and Phil to any one I come across that are in the process of buying a house.
regards,
Luigi

About us
Inspections Plus Ltd specialises in pre-purchase and pre-marketing Building Reports.
What we do
Buying a home can be one of the biggest investments in life. Having a pre-purchase Building Report gives you peace of mind that there are no hidden expenses or surprises, making you an informed buyer.
A pre-marketing Building Report is commissioned by the homeowner intending to sell their property. This is not a sales document but rather a report to inform the homeowner of any failings or maintenance issues, which can be rectified before the house is marketed.
The dwelling is assessed for its structural integrity, weathertightness and maintenance requirements. This includes the exterior cladding, exterior joinery, roofing and foundations. The electrical system, plumbing and drainage are also inspected and advised upon.
Extensive moisture testing is standard with every inspection to determine if there are any weathertightness or dampness issues.
Our inspection is carried out to the New Zealand standard 4306:2005.
Categories we service
Property Inspection Services, Pre-purchase property inspections, House Inspections, Home inspection services, Building Inspections
Areas we service
Wellington City, Wellington CBD, Porirua Area, Kapiti Coast Area, Hutt Valley Area
Once our inspection was booked, the inspection was completed by Phil, with the report supplied the following day. The report is clear with accompanying photographs, and examines the crucial components of the building with thorough descriptions of his findings. Their… reports are by far the best in the Wellington region, compared to the many we have seen during our home purchase journey.
"A follow up call with Phil to discuss the report was great to get an overview of certain items, where Phil clearly explained his inspection and contents of the report. Phil, like Ailsa, is friendly to deal with, qualified in providing his analysis, and spent time over the phone with me. Phil also offered to further discussions if required during our due diligence period.
We HIGHLY recommend Phil and Ailsa at Inspections Plus Ltd, and will do so to anyone who asks us to recommend a residential building inspection company within the Wellington region. Thanks again Ailsa and Phil!
