Smart Air are a really great organisation to deal with and I thoroughly recommend them. Pascal and Andre thought about things before starting and the result was an installation that went smoothly, was so much less intrusive than I thought it would be and works brilliantly! This was a retro-fit install of a ducted heating system into two floors of a late 1960's house with restricted roof space. They planned the duct routes out carefully and the resulting install was… quicker than they had advised us to allow for and way less intrusive than I thought it could possibly be.
As if that wasn't enough, the whole team are also exceptionally pleasant people to deal with - straight up, amiable, knowledgeable and respectful.
When we originally got quotes for ducted heating another company had told us it was not possible and had suggested electric radiators. Smart Air soundly proved them wrong and we now have a great system installed.

Ours was not an easy installation and Andre understood our needs and came up with excellent solutions. Everything seemed so able and "not a problem". My husband was concerned about the installation and we asked to talk with a sparky prior to the work proceeding.Daniel the sparky who works for Smart Air came and met with us.Two things I would like to mention about Daniel in addition to… the great advice he gave, is that while he spoke to my husband , he also spoke to me. Many tradies look and speak to the man of the house so I did like it that I was included in any discussions.Also he pronounced Maori words correctly which is important to me and indicates a respectful attitude.Thank you. Sent an enquiry email and got a super fast response. Pascal was great in the initial consult/quote, and I really appreciated his honest recommendations - he very easily could have told me to install two heat pumps as that's what we had originally thought about, which would have doubled the sale, but he gave another solution on… one unit. This was followed up the same day with a quote via email. The guys on installation day were awesome, worked quickly and quietly and did a good job cleaning up at the end. They even tolerated my annoying doggo under their feet for a large portion of the install ???? 100%"We found Smart Air Solutions from a Google search and requested a visit and quote for a ducted system along with 2 other well known air-conditioning/ducted systems companies.
From the outset, we were extremely impressed with Pascal's professionalism, obvious expertise and honesty. We've been caught out with companies that over promise and under deliver and didn't want to risk that again with a costly heating system.
Pascal was upfront about the complexity of our homes design in retro… fitting a system, but also confidence in his team's ability to achieve what we wanted. At the same time, he was forthright about our expectations as to what the system could do. He delivered a quote in a very timely manner and the availability for install was very reasonable considering the current climate and supply chain difficulties.
Pricing was very competitive by comparison. The install went ahead exactly as scheduled and his team were all very respectful, friendly and courteous while in our home.
We have ended the experience with a system that behaves as we desired, cost in line with out expectations and zero issues with the process; almost unheard of these days. Thank you Pascal and the Smart Air team.

The quality of the workmanship was outstanding with minimal noise and mess made (Smartair went above and beyond in containing dust and ensuring there was nothing left for us to clean). 100%"We were in process of replacing an older Gas heating system with two previous failures but were given SMARTair's name by several friends.
Rang and shortly had Pascal on-site for inspection and received a quotation that evening An install date was arranged.
On the day Pascal and his team arrived on time and got organised with equipment etc. the crew then got stuck in and worked quickly installing ducting, outlet holes as necessary and the outside unit, an Electrician then arrived onsite and… cabled the outside unit to the power and added sensor cable.
The following day the ceiling Fan unit and air splitting box was setup and ducting connected, unit then tested satisfactorily.
Since then we have tested heating nice, background warmth, and coolingalso satisfactory.
The house is the same temperature in all rooms.

100%"Pascal and Smart Air were fantastic, we could not be happier, the whole process was so easy, from Consultation to final install, I met with Pascal on the first day of the install, we walked around the house chose all the venting points, and options, and that was it, we came home on the third day and the house was cosy and warm, better than we expected it.
He also didn't try to unnecessarily up-sell us on the top floor system, he said the mid floor heat would rise, put a vent close to the… stairwell, and he was right top floor is nice and warm as well, saving us thousands.

100%"I found Smart Air Solutions while browsing the Nocowboys site and, based on the positive feedback, we decided to give them a go.
Pascal was really straightforward to work with. He was clear about his availability, showed up to quote when he said he would, and best of all he listened carefully to our needs and questions. He recommended installing a wall-mounted Fujitsu unit in a different location, to prevent heat loss up our open staircase. We gave this a try, and as a result our living… room actually reaches temperature now (where the previous heat pump would run almost constantly, sending all its heat straight upstairs).

The installation process was equally straightforward, despite the install location being a tight fit. Steve is a real professional: he was courteous, he let me know what to expect and he was careful with our property. Best of all, he had a good sense of humour - essential on a wet, miserable installation day.
He gave us good advice on how to use the unit to best advantage too, which I really appreciated.
It's nearly a month in and we're very happy with the unit (especially our cat). We particularly like the WiFi control that lets us turn the heat pump on/off remotely (handy when you're going to be home earlier or later than expected). The app is also a bit more user friendly than the remote (although that is fine).

This made a very challenging job but Steve achieved a very clean and tidy outcome - lines very straight and well thought out. Cut into plasterboard very well done and relatively easy to reinstate after. No mess. Good communication about what he was doing and good bbriefing about use of the system. I was very impressed - and Steve worked a very long day… without stop. I would certainly be very happy to recommend him to do an installation for someone else. 100%"Smart Air Solutions installed a heat pump for me in 2014, they were friendly, efficient, professional and their recommended product has suited our environment well. Recently I've the hand held remote for the unit was not working properly so I contact Pascal to discuss what to do. Following a brief conversation Pascal advised he would get me a new remote under warranty and provided I supplied him the model and serial numbers of the unit he would order a new one that afternoon with several days… to receive it. This was a Friday and there was a very cold weather system forecast to move in over the weekend. Several hours later I was advised by Pascal that he was arranging for Steve from Smart Air Solutions to drop off a new remote from their show room to my home as he wanted to ensure we could use our heat pump and have heat for the cold weather system that was forecast, Steve dropped it off later that afternoon, programmed the remote and tested it to ensure everything was working. 100%"I contacted SmartAir because I had seen they had good ratings on this site and also Plimmerton-based. I had a slightly unusual request because I wanted to reposition my external condenser which was obstructing a footpath and raise a second condenser out of a flowerbed. The company Director visited our home to discuss our requirements. He offered several options and was happy to listen to my thoughts. We agreed together and I received a quote which seemed very reasonable for the changes and two… maintenance services. The guys that turned up were polite, competent and did a great job. I was very happy with how the changes were implemented, and S who did the servicing provided a lot of explanation and coaching as to how to use a heat pump efficiently. We sold the house and purchase another house with an existing Fujutsu heat pump that was 6 years old. We had a quote from Smart Air Solutions to install another Fujitsu heat pump and accepted that. Again, very competitive pricing and… an excellent job.

25%"Our heat pump was not installed properly. It actually fell off the wall (to land on a wooden unit we had underneath).
When called to reinstall correctly Pascal did come and 're-install' but it wasn't to a later date when we had our heat pump cleaned by an unrelated company that it was brought to our attention that the heat pump was yet again coming away from the wall and also not level which lead to it leaking everytime we used the heat pump on cool.
We had Fujitsu come out to… inspect and they then sent another heat pump company out (at their expense) to take the heat pump down and fully and correctly reinstall the heat pump. It was mentioned to us that the original installation of the heat pump (by Smart Air Solutions) was not of a satisfactory standard and was done in a quick and shoddy way.

We now deal directly with Fujitsu (Not Smart Air Solutions) for future work/repairs on our heat pump.
We were disappointed that the cost of the full re installation ($500) was left to us (luckily Fujitsu took it upon themselves to pay) and that Pascal didn't so much as offer an email to say he was sorry for the poor installation and inconvenience caused.Pascal responded:"As with all things there are two sides to the story. 100%"Friendly team, didnt have to wait long to book them in, came at times convenient to us and when they said they would, talked in plain english about electrical things so i trusted what they told me, cost of job was comparable to the competition, did the job quickly and didnt make a mess while they were here.
We called Smart Air because we wanted advice - we were unsure of the best ie most cost effective way to heat our house - last winter we'd had huge power bills even though we have a wood… burner.

Pascal came to our house and looked at all the different heaters we use, and explained about the amount of power they consume... The least efficient heater he explained was the one in the lounge that we used when we didn't have the fire going. So we agreed that a heat pump in the lounge would be a good idea for those times when it was too much of a hassle to light the fire. He talked about the different heat pump options and measured up our space, and talked about positioning to blow air through the lounge, into the kitchen and up the hallway too.
His team came back a few days later to install the heat pump and they did a good job, were friendly and set it all up for me and showed me how to work it, and best of all didn't make a mess (like other trades people have done in the past!)
We are loving the heat pump! It's great because we have a young daughter and in the morning can quickly heat up the area and warmth even goes up the hallway. I don't have to muck around with the fire when I'm in a hurry in the evening making dinner etc. Best of all we have noticed that our power bill is less than this time last winter even though we've used the heat pump every day since it was installed.

I had initial issues with my body corp, however Pascal was very understanding and able to offer solutions so approval was finally given. The ducted heatpump is amazing. So quiet, effective and really quick too. We would never go without one again !! Such a cost effective solution to heat a large house too.

We wanted to be careful about the visual effect that the instal would have on the architectural features of our home, designed by Fritz Eisenhoffer. They took on board all of our requests and the workmanship was impeccable, both above and below floor level. Throughout the instal, they explained each step and made sure we were happy before they proceeded.
The result, after 2 days, is remarkable. A uniformly heated home, no sign of any moisture (we are taking out the wall heaters and heated towel rails in the bathrooms, no longer needed), and waking to a dry, warm home in the morning.
I would recommend Smartair 110%. Professional efficient craftsmen who take great pride in their work.
