"We engaged Tyson Roofing to do a re-roof of our old original villa in Herne Bay. We were very happy with Tyson Roofing from the first meeting with Chris and subsequent dealings with Nick and we had the best roofing team (Cam, Marshall and Adam). The guys worked hard and kept to schedule and the quality of the work and materials used was very good. They repaired some rotten wood as they went and installed insulation as extras we accepted on the quote. We were recommended Tyson Roofing by a good friend and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to others."

I have used Tyson in the past for flashing work and they were always on time and on price. This time was no different. After accepting what I thought was a reasonable quote, they arrived on time, worked quietly and fixed the issue.

"Chris has been a neighbour for a long time, and we were happy to trust him and his team with replacing our roof. They worked well with our builder, who had some timber work that needed to be coordinated with the roofing, and at the end of the project we have a roof that looks great and will last us a long time. What they offer in terms of the end result is high quality and great value."

"The team did a great job - we were really happy with the quality, they left the site clean and tidy every day, they were a really friendly team and nice to have around. We had several quotes and were really happy with the quote which Chris provided to us.
The only small negative was the job took a bit longer than expected with gaps when they were working on another job. This wasn't communicated as clearly as it could've been."

"Chris sorted out a new leak in our roof while we were on holiday. Rather than tell us we needed a new roof he had a really pragmatic approach to solving the problem to give us another 5-10 years out of the current one. The fix he applied wasn't a big job thankfully, but he was really quick to get onto it and sorted a couple of extra things that might become problems while he was at it!"

"Chris and Cameron from Tyson roofing have been great to deal with. We had a small job needing done, which was probably more of a nuisance than anything else. Chris however was generous with his time over the phone, and organised to get the job sorted promptly. "Awesome team from start to finish. I received the initial quote, then visited Chris at his office where he answered a few additional questions. The start day was delayed by two days - but that's Auckland weather for you. We had a team of three on-site who were fast, efficient and very tidy. Each day the site was tidied before they left. There was some additional timber work identified, they brought this to my attention and explained why it was required. I would have no hesitation recommending Tyson Roofing. And in particular the gents who worked on my roof, who obviously take great pride in their work."

"Had a leak 2yrs after reroof asked Chris to have a look at it He told me it was'nt part of the reroof (it was apiece of flashing) I had previously recommended him to the townhouse next door and they did their reroof, and yet, that part on their roof was done. I had to pay someone to come and fix mine, they told me it WAS part of the reroof and I should go back to the roofer as it would'nt cost me.I feel totally ripped off."

"The guys were good to deal with, only some delays in pricing due to their high work load it seems, there was a mistake of leaving some pricing items off the Original quote but they in the end they stuck to the give deadline and the product arrived on time and has a good final finish."

"I have been recommending Chris to all clients requiring roofing within his scope of expertise for some years now and hear nothing but good feedback. Chris is easy to communicate very knowledgeable with an approachable attitude to business and customer relations.
As an experienced property inspector I review roofing daily and have to make decisions on their condition for repair / replacement.
I scrutinise the trades I recommend and ask clients for their input as to the service provided. If the tradesman failed to please I would not recommend them.
Keep up the good work Chris and staff. A roof is a very important job to complete correctly, every time..!"

"The negatives:
These guys quoted us 1 week to complete our roof and it took 5 weeks.
There were many times they just didn't turn up despite the fine weather, and their communication was very poor. My assumption is that they accepted more work than they could resource, and our job suffered as a result.
We experienced a broken window, broken soffit and broken guttering. They did apologise for this and offered to get it fixed.
They did not clean up well after themselves, often leaving nails, tin offcuts and other debris lying on the roof as well as in neighbouring property.

Positives:
The completed job was to a high standard
The guys working on the roof were friendly"

"It was a small job requiring the replacement of a handful of sheets of iron/plastic on each of my house and shed. "So Impressed!. An excellent job of total re-roof in 2011. But always had trouble with the solar water heating. Finally got this fixed finding that the system had not been reconnected accurately. Got onto Tysons who gave me the evidence of plumbing work done and the contact for the plumber - work done in 2011 & this is at the end of 2014. Extraordinary service. Thanks."

"Chris, Cameron and the lads were great to work with. They provided lots of useful information to us before the roof started so we could make informed decisions. The team were friendly and polite and really helpful (Cameron put up one of the barge boards for us after our builder ran out of time, cut the end and primed it - legend).
The job was a bit tricky in places, but the guys did an awesome job, great attention to detail and roof looks great.

"Totally recommend Tyson Roofing - we had an ongoing roof leak for 3.5 years and had about 4 different companies around with unsuccessful results. The guys from Tyson roofing turned up at the beginning of a massive storm, identified the problem, installed a temporary solution and then returned a few weeks later to install new flashing which looks great. We have not had a leak since. Friendly, fast and professional. Thanks Team Tyson."

"Tyson Roofing re-roofed my villa a couple of years ago. New skylights were involved and extensive flashings. Chris and his team did an immaculate job. Just last month I asked Chris to design and install a purpose built large flashing to go under guttering and over a new roll out awning we had installed. Very happy with this - no leaks and works brilliantly! Chris is very professional and a very nice person to deal with. He also has a very good team of guys working for him. I wouldn't go pass Tyson Roofing - highly recommended."

"I can recommend the company to other people who will doing there roof. They have done a great job by finishing on time and very reliable. When you arrange a date with them they come that day and do the job. Even work together with an insulation company that I want. They even communicate well and give you update on what needs to be done.
As for the work they have done I can not see any leaks towards inside the house but the roof hasn\'t encounter heavy rain yet. It will be tested in time when heavy rain come in. For the price it was reasonable. After they have install the roof they even clear up the old roof. Overall this company had done an excellent job."
