"I enquired online about some firewood and got a reply super fast with a delivery date for the next day. The delivery came on time, the driver was really experienced in positioning the truck and load in a tricky spot. The mix of wood is excellent, dry and cut so well that it was a pleasure to stack! Will definitely be back next year to order more, thanks so much."

"After my initial call we had someone call & quote - once accepted it was confirmed & the date advised to have work completed .
3 men arrived & planted : removed tress & completed stump grinding.
I enquired about other trees to be removed- & this was completed- no trouble .
All rubbish ( & additional trees) was removed & the site left clean & finished .
Advise freely given for looking after existing trees .
This company is awesome! Completely professional… & we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them !"

"Don’t look any further than A1!
After getting multiple quotes to remove 8 trees from the slope in our garden, we went with A1 whose explanations were clear and reassuring. They answered our many questions patiently and showed enthusiasm, to the point where Stu (who runs the company) even sent his lead arborist, George, to have a more detailed look at the job, with no obligations.
On the day, Aidan and Arty arrived lead by George and got straight in to it. The skill, efficiency and ingenuity… was incredible to watch. Everything was so controlled, they were polite, professional and left the garden very tidy. As if they were never there! They even went to the trouble of removing 2 extra trees that had fallen just because they were there and because they could.

Absolutely excellent service, wonderful results, great value and whenever we need their services again (whichy we most probably will), we will be going straight back to A1.

"Amazing service could not recommend more. Stu came around to assess a huge oak tree that was growing over our house but based on our neighbours property. We had tried everything to deal with this tree but it was blocking our gutters, hanging over our house causing a health and safety issue and damaging the foundations of our property. He talked us through all of our options and we decided upon removal. He followed up to talk about the removal and when it was organised George was on time and… organised. The tree removal was swift and reasonably priced - these guys know their stuff - would highly recommend."

"I am so glad we found A1 Sure Services. My mother has a row of trees boarding our fenceline which had not been tended to in years. They did a great job trimming our Acmena trees which were overgrown (8 metres tall and out of control). I asked for a reduction in height, a reshape and removal of the cuttings. Within 24hrs of contact I had an onsite inspection and quote. We arranged for the date and they arrived on time - super reliable, delivered on everything we asked for and met our… expectations. More importantly their customer service and friendly engagement made the experience an enjoyable one and my Mother was happy. "We had a very bad experience by using this A1 Sure service. My recommendation to all please never ever use this A1 Sure service.. no clean up at all after job done & telling me my site was on bad condition. They says not stick with quote & very poor work done .. they are in hurry to finish & not done correct job as it needs be done. Big work given on trust but very bad experience, I paid to their team member as I agreed but work done as agreed. Now Stuart even not ready to come… & see how work done badly... now telling me that I am in west auckland & he is north shore.. Even told him when he pass by he can looks their workmen ship... If he think too far between north & west Auckland if some one ask for your quote do you not go & spend travel & time ? but Stuart is very bad business person to deal. My experience is DO NOT USE A1 service at all.... - thanks to this no cowboys site.. that we out review & other like me not cheated."

"Did an excellent job of felling my phoenix palm which was in a tricky position near mine and a neighbours house. They protected the area well, did the job quickly and efficiently even in the pouring rain with excellent tidy up. Despite their best efforts, a gutter was slightly damaged but they were fantastic about getting this repaired and allowing reduction of their fee for the full amount. "We have ordered mulch from these guys over the last couple of years but this year it fell FAR below expectations. They seem to be having problems answering emails for orders and when you call they are flustered and busy - mobile number goes to the person on the job not the office - and have to call back. It took 2 emails and 2 phone calls to get the order in. Anyway - as I said, generally the mulch has been ok for the price but this time we found 4 Cody's cans and heaps of flax and… wood/branches the size of my arm in the load. There was also the better half of a Nikau palm all broken up and slimy. I did contact them to comment and they knocked $50 off the price but we will NOT be dealing with them again. Just not worth the hassle. Tania asked that we send photos of what was delivered so that she could take it up with the people in the yard. I did and we did not hear back."

"The gang of five did a superb, professional job taking out our old dangerous gum tree. They worked all day and into the evening using the lights of their car to complete the job. "second time I have used this company, the first was cutting trees around my work. This time is was a big 4 hour job at my home trimming large trees, mulching it and removing plants no longer required. Stu called around to do the quote then a few weeks later his team of 3 arrived and worked efficiently and did a fantastic job. I noticed that their mulcher was brand new and all the team worked well togeather and were very safety conscious. "A1 Sure services tree care did an impressive job from day 1.
We shopped around for quotes to remove a medium phoenix palm tree, 3 tall palm trees and grind all stumps plus another.
A1 Sure Services had a guy over to quote the next day with the most competitive price.
We got a booking in as soon as they could manage and 3 men turned up at 8am and started the work. It took them 4 hours and they did an amazing job.
They ensured the area was left tidy and safe by taking everything… away.

They gave us confidence as they were all qualified arborists and the company had full insurance. And they were all friendly and lovely

Highly recommended"

"We had a 60ft Pine tree dismantle in our front garden, by Will and his team. Excellent work. Very professional and pleasant to deal with. The young man who was up the tree, cutting branches was very precise and on target. The pine was cut into rings, so we now have plenty of wood for winter, and heaps of mulch for our garden.

"We used A1 services for landscaping and I would not recommend them as there were lots of misunderstanding mainly due to the fact they didn't provide a plan and the workers were unclear on what to do. I guess if you can be home looking over their shoulders then they are ok.
As part of the job they seeded the garden with a mix of clovers and rye, that was a total disaster. "

"i would not buy firewood from this company again. They were not cheap and the wood was crap. So much rubbish amongst it, much so hard to burn and with no heat coming from it. Some just smoulders and forget flames! I did email them to tell them I was not happy as I thought I should give them the chance to address it with me, or make amends but nothing ( that was 4 weeks ago) so my recommendation is don't purchase your wood from these guys, they'll take your money and deliver you rubbish wood"

"Not happy to be fair. Second time using these guys for firewood given that the price is reasonable but this time the wood was quite wet. We havent had one good fire out of 2m of wood having to still use blankets and a heater! They did make some offer of recompense but we still have $150 of unusable wood. Wouldnt have ordered had we been aware so feel a bit let down by that. "

"They weren't the lowest quote, but they know their stuff, & gave expert assessments of tree-control options which have probably saved me cost overall. An efficient team. There were a couple of mishaps (a broken fibrolite panel, & some driveway lights), but their 'fixit' man Richard rectified these promptly & with no hassle:- new panel supplied & fitted same day, new lights next day. Would I call on them again? Definitely!"

"Great job done by this team! We had asked for three separate jobs to be done - all weather dependent, but none of them urgent. The weather had been especially unkind since the first tree was cut down, but when the good days came, the guys turned up and did a raft of work including major garden clearing, and rubbish removal, mulch spreading, creating a new pathway in the back yard, new steps and relaying pavers out front. Mark was outstanding in his attention to detail - a real craftsman - and… he made an exceptional job of cleaning up after he finished his work. The original quote for the work to be done was good. And the charges for the extra work done was good for the quality.

"Ordered 2 m3 of what is described on their website as 'seasoned dry hotmix'. The order and delivery process was easy, and the communications from the driver (Layne) was great; even sent me a text to let me know he was en route.
Unfortunately the firewood wasn't up to the billing. At least half was so rain sodden that it will have to wait until next winter to be burned. I wasted an hour and a half sorting the pile (it was dropped from a tipper truck) in to two batches; pile 1: burnable but… damp and pile 2: sodden.

I appreciate that its the middle of winter and Auckland's had a bit of rain. But if you're going to supply firewood you should at least make sure it is dry, particularly if you advertise it as such on your website. I wasn't expecting to spend $200 on firewood for next winter."

"We had A1 Sure Services do a major landscaping job for us. A full weeks work of removing all bark and replacing it will sections of river stone, white chip and black bark. There was lots of planting and retaining walls built. Pleased with the job done, but there was little prep work done for the new plantings - that said 90% of the plants have grown well."
