"Fantastic work and speed getting this project started. It took a few months as the winter weather was not cooperating with our clay soil, but John and his team went above and beyond what we asked for (all within quote!) and now our backyard patio looks incredible. "John and his team at ALS are professional, thorough and great communicators. They navigated tricky landscape with their digger and completed the plan as discussed earlier - coming right in on the budget that was previously quoted.

The job itself was a large one - demolishing a large bond, removing large boulders, flattening the earth and bringing topsoil in to level. The transformation was exactly as pictured.

"John was asked to build 2 gates and a deck for our house. It was raining a lot and John decided not to bring his digger which will destroy the ground area the digger had to travel through which was very considerate of him. So the deck foundations had to be dug from the hard fill by hand. John fell sick and so the project did take a bit longer than anticipated but we are fine with it. Jayden did most of the work and he did an absolutely wonderful job. Three sliding doors open onto the deck but two of these are not perfectly on the same level and Jayden spent considerable time and effort to make sure in the end, the deck ends up exactly level with the interior of the house when the 3 sliders are open. He is meticulous, has great attention to detail and obviously has pride in his work because everything is finished very well. John was feeling better towards the end of the job and he was here for the gate building and install and to finish up the project. We are very happy with the excellent work from himself and his team."

"John was asked to rebuild our old, large deck and to build a new retaining wall on a somewhat challenging site. For the work proposed, he provided a fixed price quote which was in the middle to higher end of the range. Although the works ran slightly over time compared with the original expectations, John and his team completed the job to a very high standard throughout and we could not have been happier with the outcome. It is clear that John has a lot of experience and knowledge of the building code, and his work met, and often exceeded, these standards. He also communicated clearly with us throughout, was flexible, and assisted us throughout the project with design ideas and minor changes we wanted. For the work and quality of the craftsmanship and the materials used, we think John provided good value for money. We recommend John and his team unreservedly for any hard landscaping needs."

I’ve gone for a Balinese feel incorporating a rustic play area for my grandchildren. The final look is so much more than I could of hoped for. Johns and his guys were amazing. "Absolute Landscaping Solutions were excellent. I have full intention of using them for the next phase of work as soon as possible.
The team working on site were great people. They arrived early each day and were on the tools within 5 minutes. They were courteous, diligent and kept the property in as tidy state as possible given the large scale of earthworks being undertaken.
Their build quality is high, and they were intelligent and sympathetic when working in with other existing structures such as a pre-existing deck.
John's communication was timely, crisp and clear. If any uncertainty existed, they put the customer first and adjusted the work to meet the customer's definition of "done". (and did so willingly).
John's initial quote structure was comprehensive and the few variations were discussed up front and agreed. He was transparent with the overs & unders so I knew and agreed why things were changing. In the end the price came in at ~4% over the initial quote and I am extremely happy with that. Since the job I have enthusiastically recommended ALS twice now. There is no doubt that I will be using ALS again."

They kept their machinery and equipment tidy and cleaned up after themselves when the job was complete. "We had a 28m backyard, failed, retaining wall.
After initial consultation and suggestions from John, we got designs and approved council plans in place.
With full considerations of covid-19, the build was started during level3 lock-down and completed with fully approved council compliance within 2weeks.
At all times communications were kept in place to ensure no surprises and no confusions. The retaining wall we now have will be standing long after the house has collapsed."

"We asked ALS to build us a large 4x2.5m kwila timber screen. John came to quote and offered some good suggestions. Quoting was prompt and he answered all our questions.
There were a couple of delays due to issues with supplier rather than ALS and John kept us informed.
Communication was straightforward and any concerns we had during the job he addressed.
The two guys who constructed the actual screen did a great job. They gave us a progress report and talked through a couple of things with us. Workmanship was precise and they look like guys who take pride in their work.
Final cost came below quote so that was the icing on the cake."

"This team are awesome. We required an old bamboo fence to be replaced.From the beginning when John quoted until the finish nothing was a problem and very professional.
The team turned up every day (even in the bad weather) and were very considerate of our outdoor space where they were working. They hosed down the concrete patio and put tools and building supplies in neat piles so the area was clean and tidy every night.
