"Very poor company I would not ever use again
Unfortunately they damage my rim which will cost circa $350 to repair. It was so obviously a mechanical tool that caused the damage.
Denial and the cold shoulder is all I got back from Anzac auto. I get mistakes happen but a good company owns. Them and makes them right. On top of the wheel damage whoever worked on the car failed to fill and clear the coolant level alarm which I did myself"

"I have dealt with Ash for years with all my cars when I lived in the area and have recently referred my kids to use them. I can say that these guys are simply awesome to deal with. My daughter had a quite stressful situation recently with her car during the recent floods and Scott was absolutely outstanding in helping getting it sorted out, he went well above and beyond. My son has also had challenges with his ute and they have worked with him to get it sorted and back on the road.

So I can genuinely say these guys are legends and I highly recommend them !"

"I became concerned on Saturday noticing a strong petrol smell inside the car. With no evidence of any leeks that I could see, yet my head not feeling the best, I knew what I'd be doing come Monday morning, phoning Anzac Automotive!
Yes I've used them before but never given a rating till now. Why now? Because although I didn't book in advance (well wasn't till late Saturday that I knew I had a real problem) and the fact they were book up for the next couple of days, they didn't say no and turn me away. Instead they said leave the car and they will try to squeeze it in and if they have a cancelation. We'll that's what happened and they were able to get to the root cause of the issue by midday. Just a note; some would say it's luck that they were able to fit my car in, yet I don't believe in luck- just saying, it's by God's plan.
Thank you Scott for keeping up to date and advice, Ash and team for doing the work having the car ready by 4pm same day.

"I have had a critical job done on my Volvo S60 at ANZAC for which I had a quote from the Dealer which was nearly 2X. The process was quite smooth. First they had me bring in my vehicle for inspection and provided me with the details of the job and then a quote. Once I was satisfied with the quote, we booked in a time and they even provided me with a Loaner car for the day. The work was prompt and the delivery was on time (as promised). "Had a problem with the gearbox in one of our elderly cars that was getting progressively worse, and had previously caused the clutch cable to snap (twice!). Ash gave me a very detailed description about what he thought could be the problem, and we finally decided to commit to the approx. $500 required simply to remove and inspect the gearbox (and to reinstall it), hoping that the repair would not be too much more. Unfortunately they discovered a major problem with the internal casting that meant that another gearbox had to be purchased, and also that the flywheel and clutch plates need to be replaced. Ended up costing c. $1.3k. This sounds bad, but Ash was superb in keeping me fully informed about the various options and costs throughout the diagnosis and repair process. Despite the job costing much more than expected (and well more than half of what the car is worth!), I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anzac Automotive. You do not need to consider taking your car to another mechanic: Anzac Automotive are the experts in their field of work, and I am certain that they will never do any unnecessary work."

"Recently got wofs for 2 of our family's aging cars. Have previously been to VTNZ many times, but probably never again given the superb service offered by Anzac Automotive. First car passed other than tyres (as we expected), and second car had failed at VTNZ due to braking-strength misbalance (have actually encountered this several times previously with VTNZ). Took the car to Anzac Automotive to fix the problem, and they first checked whether it was actually a problem. Reading was a borderline pass, so they made some adjustment to bring it well within the allowable tolerance and then even took the car to VTNZ for the recheck.

Have previously always taken vehicles to VTNZ since had been concerned that a garage might have a vested interest to find a fault. I do most of my own maintenance and repair work, but have also been to a few other garages, which gave variable service. But cannot fault Anzac Automotive. Will definitely be taking all of our cars there in the future."

"I had not used Anzac before but needed some urgent work done prior to Christmas and wanted to try a local business. The lady who took my call was extremely courteous, took my details and called back a little later to advise they could squeeze me in the next day. A few hours after I took the car and trailer down (A/C not working in the car, lights shorting on the trailer) a technician called to advise the trailer was fixed and let me know what it would cost to fix the A/C. The price was very reasonable and within a few hours I’d picked up the car and trailer and enjoyed the ride home in my nicely cooled car. I will definitely use them again myself and would recommend to my family and friends."

"I had a problem with my Volvo. the dealership had a look, tried a few things, then said the next step (without finding the cause of the fault) was to replace the ECU because it was their 'best guess'. Ash's guy found the problem and fixed it for one tenth the cost - and it was an intermittent problem too. Top marks to these guys for knowledge / experience / keeping you informed."

We value a place that will look after the 2 cars we own in a professional and friendly manner. So after losing patience with a previous place where mistakes were always somebody else's problem, I decided to give Anzac Auto a try. 18 months later we could not be happier and that's why I want to recommend both the company and the owner (Ash). Nothing is too much trouble for him - and as long as you have the decency to give them a little bit of prior notice, he'll always have a courtesy car for you.

"We have used Anzac twice now, once for a service to meet warranty requirements and the other for a failing alternator.

I can't commend Ash enough for his complete and professional conduct. He runs a tight ship down at Anzac and I felt every bit of that by being kept in the loop.

Ash's service extended to handling the interaction with the mechanical insurance company when the alternator failed and wrapped that up without involving me at all.

While I prefer not to require his services again(!) ,if I do I would head straight down there and would not hesitate to recommend others do the same."

"Superb service by Ash and the team. I was new to the area and found more than 10+ auto repairers in the one block to choose from. Definitely made the right choice. Their work lived up to their great reputation. "I have had Anzac Automotive work on my car in the past (brake and clutch) and more recently with a broken cam shaft (ouch). Having an MGF I always expect the parts and repairs to be expensive, but Ash and his team always seem go out of their way to get the best deal for me (unlike other places I have been in the past). I feel that I can trust the team at Anzac Automotive to be honest, which as a female client (whose mechanical knowledge is limited to checking the oil level and changing a tyre) is invaluable. "I would highly recommend Ash, this is the second occasion I needed his help. The first time was two days before Christmas. I was driving down the road and a red light came on the dash board. I called my local mechanic where i had just spend 800.00 two weeks prior and he said couldnt look at my car until January. I called Ash, he was wonderful; he put me at ease over the phone. My car was fixed that same day so we could go on holiday with my two kids.

"I recently brought our first car in New Zealand, which had very little service history....
I popped into to the garage to discuss a service and found Ash to be polite, knowlegable and happy to answer my list of questions.
I booked the car in for a full service, and for them to report any thing that needed doing as I had a tight budget.
I thought the text mesage the evening before as a reminder was a great touch, and I took advantage of the courtesy loan vechile offered.
The service was comprehensive and carried out to a very high level and all work was discussed before hand and nothing was added so I had no suprises on collecting my car.
I thought the over all customer service from the staff was excellent and I was very happy with the finished job.
The bill was very resonable, and I will be recommending the garage to all my friends from Browns Bay and the surrounding area.
GREAT JOB GUYS - WELL DONE!
I will now be using you for WOFs as well as servicing...

"I\'m thankful for this website in allowing me to find guys like these.

We found ANZAC Auto accommodating, very good communicators, approachable, honest and the work completed as promised. I highly recommend them and this household will definitely be going to them from now on. Any friends will also be told about this outfit.

I found ANZAC Auto via Google search after feeling despondent at a quote from Ford/Mazda. Am not sure why these things weren\'t found for previous WOF but $3000 worth of work, more than the car is worth. Have only gone to them because my car is a ford but found them clinical in their communication, had extra work done without notifying me, have never wanted to use them and very expensive.

When my wife and I spoke with Ash for the first time he was definitely customer focused and honest in stating he wanted our business on a long term basis. He stated he would need to look at the job before providing an estimate. His estimate was half the cost quoted by the other crowd."

"Ash and his team have been servicing our cars for some years now. They are great to deal with on all levels - friendly and efficient, keeping us informed from the moment we drop the car off to the time that we collect it. Nothing is too much trouble,. If they find a problem, that we weren\'t expecting, they call us to discuss the work before proceeding. The car comes back clean ( they wear gloves while they work on your car!) and most importantly, runs beautifully - better than when it is serviced by the dealer as part of the purchase agreement. We\'d recommend them to anyone who\'s looking for a mechanic."
