About us
Kia ora, I'm Nik Burroughs of APRC Roof & Property Care. I'm on the tools every day in Tauranga. My small team and I take care of roofs and exteriors all around Matua, the Mount, Papamoa, and the wider Bay.
We make it simple: arrive on time, give you the options in straightforward language, take you photo reports, and leave the place tidy. From a sneaky drip to a worn roof that needs a fair system or a new re-roof, I'll counsel you like I'd counsel my own family—no dabs for haste, no surprises. We use proven NZ products (Resene, Ardex, Colorsteel) and are proud of our work.

Roofing & Painting—what we’re great at
Re-roofing (small crew)—Colorsteel replacements and selected sheet changes; tidy removal, safe access, and clean finishes.
Custom flashings & detailing—apron/back-tray, barge, chimney, parapet, and skylight flashings; made to suit and installed right to stop water tracking.
Leak finding & repairs—Source-first diagnostics, parapet/gutter fixes, skylight remediation, and storm call-outs.
Roof painting & restoration—Proper washdown, moss treatment, primers, and durable topcoats for concrete tile, decramastic, and Colorsteel.
Liquid-membrane waterproofing—ARDEX/COHE systems for butyl, gutters, decks, and tricky junctions.
Gutters & fascia—repairs/replacements, custom overflows, and water-management improvements.
Exterior painting—fascias, soffits, cladding, joinery prep, and full prep systems.
Interior painting—walls, ceilings, trim, and doors; stain-blocking, minor plaster/stop repairs, razor-sharp edges, low-VOC options, and careful protection of floors and furnishings.
Safety & Access
Scaffold-first philosophy: We use scaffold or edge protection whenever it’s the safest and most efficient option—especially on multi-storey edges, parapets, and long gutter lines.
Harness expertise when scaffold isn’t practical: I’ve spent years working and training with certified fall-arrest harness systems, which means I can safely scale most roofs using a harness with confidence when the job calls for it.
Compliant methods: Temporary roof anchors, static lines, roof ladders, and controlled access set-ups aligned with WorkSafe NZ at-height guidance.
Job-specific planning: Every site gets a simple hazard & access plan, daily checks, and photo documentation—keeping you informed and the site tidy.
