"Best 'receptionist' in Auckland
"Made the whole process easy from the start.
"This particular service I identified a couple of issues going in and they reported back on both of those - fixing one and letting me know cost and lead times for the other. They also called before going ahead with replacing things out side their 'regular' service - wiper arms, spark plugs, etc. The person I spoke to was also patient with answering my questions, which is nice as I dont know much at all… about cars. They were transparent around pricing.
In short, no complaints and Ill go back again.
The firs time they did something on the diff and when i got the car back and drove faster than 70kmh it startet shaking violently.
So took the Hilux back to Autoland, they took it appart again (according to the guys from Autoland) could not find anything (according to Autoland) put it back together again and handed it over to… me.
Miraculously the shaking was gone. A miracle or did they not tell the the truth, hide something???
Who knows with these guys from Autoland North Shore.
When the head gasket on my Hilux needed replacement I dropped the car at AUTOLAND North Shore on the 14th of December in expectation to get it back before the Christmas brake to go on holiday.
The quote they gave gave me was $2.500.- which is a pretty good price for a head gasket but you get what you pay for.
When they did the job they damaged the electronics so that the engine light came on and the car was not fit to use (Specialist or Cowboy?).
Instead of contacting me they waited patiently for my call on the 21st of December (Communication breakdown).
Meanwhile Christmas was gone and the Hilux still was not fixed because the sparky from Autoland North Shore was on Holliday.
Another week of waiting was in vain because he could not fix the problem either (Isn't that a bummer or are there Cowboys somewhere?).
So off we go the best sparky in Auckland (Because he goes to America or so according to the guys from Autoland North Shore).
Could he fix it you may ask, no such luck this time. His suggestion was that the drive chain (or how ever you call that)
was not installed properly by the guys from, yes you are absolutely right, Autoland NorthShore (Cowboyalarm).
And back we go to Autoland North Shore and have another propper look under the hood.
Meanwhile, on the 23rd of January me and my Family went on a one week Holliday ourselves which was planed to go in the Hilux but oh no it was still with Autoland North Shore.
I needed a car with lots of space and roof racks to store all the stuff you need when you have got two kids.
The car they supplied me was a Honda Odyssey which is a rather large car nonetheless it did not have any roof racks like my Hilux so the clever guys from Autoland North Shore
handed me over inflatable roof racks. These things might be good for a couple of surfboards but thats about it.
So we had to leave a view things behind.
Before we left i contacted Autoland North Shore (They must be afraid of customers) again to see what they are so up to.
They Asked me to come over so that they can check the Honda and fill up any missing fluids.
I did.
Also they wanted to contact me when there is some news and i told them that i wouldn't have any reception where i go on holiday but they where promised me to speak on my voicemail to give me the good news.
Well you are right again, NEVER happend (Customer care Autoland North Shore).
On the way to our destination it started drissling and i wanted to use the window wiper and sprinkler but, surprise surprise the reservoir was empty (Cowboys like it dry i guess).
After we came back on the 29th of January i waited patiently for the redeeming phone call (cause there was nothing on my voicemail).....
Silence.
On the second day of "no contact" i rang Autoland North Shore to receive the liberating news that my car is "fixed".
The story you may ask.
Well The guys from Autoland North Shore apparently handed it back to there very own, very best sparky in Auckland ("He always goes to America" what ever that means)only to find out that it was the Hilux's
computer that played up. Odd enough that they did the exact same thing the first time.
Anyway almost two Month later i got my car back but, yes there is a but again, they broke my antenna and did not even think about putting the under body panels to protect the engine back on yep just
leave it in the back of the Truck.
Good on ya Cowboys from Autoland North Shore.
Never again
Their research gaining parts for my car in particular whether they have been new or used has always been extensive to get the best result for our Mini and Volkswagen Polo.
Autoland is a business that I would highly recommend to anyone that is wanting to receive the best support and customer service possible.
They make you feel… welcome and there is no doubt that you can relax knowing you are in excellent hands!
