"Ban was recommended to me by the tradie that installed my heat pump, he said he’d done quite a bit of research on Wellington painters before settling upon Ban.

Ban was superb, working Mon-Sat and his partner Cindy worked some days too. The outside of the house hadn’t been painted for 30 years and there was a lot of sanding/repair work for him to do. At the same time he was painting, builders were replacing rotten weatherboards, including some he’d already painted. He didn’t complain at any point and was always so positive and friendly with our kids. His workmanship, hours and dedication were amazing. I thoroughly recommend him.

English isn’t his first language. We were able to communicate through basic English but for anything complicated I emailed Ban and he used google translate - this worked fine."

"Ban is a rare find in a tradie - he does what he says. He quoted to paint my house exterior and 3 bedrooms plus some plastering in April, did the inside work during the winter and, just as promised, began the outside work late September. He finished a fortnight later, working round the weather, and has done a wonderful job. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend him and his work."

"If everyone worked like Ban the productivity in New Zealand would increase by 100%!
We engaged Ban to paint the exterior of our weatherboard and plaster clad home. His attention to detail and preparation was second to none.
We can’t fault the quality of his work, he finished the job really quickly ( he worked on the weekends to take advantage of the good weather) his quote was very reasonable and considerably less than others. I highly recommend Ban to anyone who is looking for a an outstanding painter who takes pride in his work and is always smiling.
A little tip, English is his second language, if I had something more complex to discuss on site, I used the google translator app English to Vietnamese. During the quotation phase we predominately communicated via email and it wasn’t at all problematic."

"I came across Ban reviewing feedback on this website and ended up hiring him to paint the exterior of my weatherboard house. I obtained three quotes and Ban's was the most competitive by a significant margin. Ban responded promptly to my request for a quote and followed up with a site visit shortly after that. Ban was clear with me about his availability - he had about six houses ahead of mine to do but this was no problem as I wasn't in a hurry to get the job done. Ban and his wife Cindy completed the job in great time. At the end of every day Ban and Cindy worked they left the place immaculate. At the end of the job Ban was great at making sure I was happy with every aspect of what he had done. I would absolutely recommend (and already have) Ban and Cindy to anyone - they are lovely, hardworking people and I was 100% happy with the job they did."

"The fact Ban was busy when I first contacted him was a good indication he provided quality service and having completed staining of the exterior of my property I can also attest well worth the wait. Ban was prompt in quoting for the work, resonable in his pricing and listened to my concerns around masking given I have already had stain damage some of the aluminium joinary. "I tried Ban out on a small job and was very pleased with his work so extended the job to a full house paint with rot repairs in several places. He also rebuilt a gate and repaired parts of the fence before painting it. Ban did an excellent job and worked very hard and fast completing the job in a tight time frame sometimes with the help of his wife. I would recommend him to anybody needing a painter/Handyman. He doesn't speak a lot of English but with careful communication (sometimes assisted by his wife) he is very skilled and does a very good job."
