  "My first visit to Bunnings Mt Wellington and probably my last. Staff were helpful in locating my purchase but my checkout experience was embarrassing in the extreme. I am a white female pensioner but for some reason the young man at the checkout decided I looked like a potential shoplifter and insisted I open my bag for him to look inside before he would serve me. This was the only checkout open with a queue behind me and I have never felt so humiliated. Sorry Bunnings but if this is the way… you treat pensioners I will stick to Mitre 10 in future. By the way, my receipt says I was 'served by Nicholas' - what a joke."

  "We bought a bbq from Bunnings Riccarton which proved to be faulty. When we took it back Dayne from the bbq department told us it was a poor design and that we should modify it to make it work better! Then Jamie Coles, an Operations Manager who was rude and arrogant said it looked all right to him, therefore there was nothing wrong with it, this despite the fact it only gets warm, not hot enough to cook on. He basically called me a liar to my face. What possible reason he thought I would have… to complain about something if it wasn\'t faulty is beyond me.
  
  I made a complaint to Bunnings 8 weeks ago but no seems to want to take any responsibility, they just keep passing it on to someone else, This is a clear breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act and Bunnings customer service is appalling. Basically Bunnings have stolen my money. Beware!"
