"I just love my new drop curtains - they are the perfect size and being able to just roll down one and keep the other up is ideal for autumn weather. Hand-rolling is quick and convenient. The zip being attached to a cord at the side of the house keeps the curtain nice and tight and keeps out any draughts.
Now I can sit out on my deck even if there is a bit of a cold breeze - just perfect!"

"We have a small room facing the sun the whole day and in summer, the heat inside was awful. We were looking for a solution at a reasonable price but amongst all the offers on the market, we didn't know which one to choose. Eventually, we had a job done by a builder and he suggested CoolAwnings to us. We trusted him and contacted them. They came quickly for a quote. Contact was very professional and friendly at the same time. Upon acceptance of the quote (very reasonable), we got our awning delivered and installed within a few weeks - despite being close to Christmas. The awning is just perfect, hardly noticeable which was a requirement and now the temperature inside the room in summer is just fine! We plan to work with CoolAwning again to shade a deck we plan to build in the near future."

Produced it weeks before estimated timing, all completed with ease and it works so well in my apartment that suffered from west facing sun. Looks good and remote control well worth extra. I live in a fairly new retirement village and several people have now bought or expressed interest in the awning. "Exceptional, outstanding service! From the time that a phone call was made to Cool Awnings, through to meeting Walter on site who discussed options and provided his recommendation on how to create a system that would be able to keep staff dry in the winter and cool in the summer. Walter then providing a quote which was easy to work through and get signed off for approval. Scheduling the work and meeting the schedule of when the awning would get installed was on time. After hours service was excellent including communication and completing any remedial work. The team at Cool Awnings were amazing. Nothing was too difficult for this company. We have occupied a brand new site and required the initial quote to be adjusted as the landlord/builder agreed to install the poles for the awning. Cool Awnings had no issue with this, adjusted the quote accordingly and met and worked in with the builder to ensure it met their requirements for a seamless install. Would absolutely recommend this company."

"Great job completed and it was tricky one. The team were very careful to measure the space to ensure all would fit well. Brackets were made to secure the blinds so the drop length wasn't so great.
Once one bracket was manufactured they returned to ensure it would work which it did so the additional brackets were made.
Matti ran a good team and ensured safety was maintained.

"I inherited an old retractable awning with the house I bought 2 years ago. The canvas was mouldy and the mechanism was very stiff. Cool Awning's Sales Manager came to inspect and give me a quote for new awning and a new gearbox.

"Our awning was damaged during the Papatoetoe tornado. Cool Awnings did not actually install the damaged one, but had installed another on the property. They were very prompt with my enquiry about the damage and again to get a quote for replacement awning fabric which the insurance company accepted. They also inspected the awning they installed in another part of the property and we also replaced the fabric there to match the other one. Installation was brilliant - we were not on site for either the quote or the installation. We were advised by phone when installers were on site and leaving site, and follow up has been excellent. "Cool Awnings recently recovered some awnings I had installed a few years ago by another company and did an excellent job. This is the third time I have dealt with them and always been very happy with the work and every aspect of the communication and interaction with them. My first Cool Awnings awning is about 28 years old (called Cool Canvas in those days) which is still going. The fabric is getting a bit tatty at the end that is most exposed but much of the awning fabric is still in excellent condition. Instead of trying to sell me a new awning John said they could just remove a few inches and turn the fabric so that I didn't need to replace the whole thing. I will continue to use Cool Awnings whenever I need work done."

Each person we interacted with gave us clear informatiom and answered all our questions. I have no hesitation in recommending CoolAwnings to anyone who wants a retractable awning. Of course, we will see how the awning performs in the coming years. "We ordered three standard awnings to be installed on our brick home. Mounting plates were specified but the installer appeared to have no idea how to use them. Initial plates were thicker than required, had a predrilled hole which the installer did not use, the installer then in several cases drilled additional holes which he also did not use (including one in the house), they ran out of time and had to come back, then a plate was lost and they had to come back a third time to install that, the electrician they were supposed to organise never showed up which meant we eventually gave up and used our own, then finally after repeated visits by sales and installation staff to look at our concerns regarding the workmanship, all the plates ended up being replaced. While the quality of the awnings appears good, the installation hassles dragged the job on for far too long and caused a great amount of stress."

"Awesome service and product.
We wanted a 6mx3m cover for the galvanised steel arched frame over our spa pool.
Walter came out the day I rang. He gave me confidence by confirming my measurements and suggested using cable ties rather than the rope and tube system others had proposed. Cool Awnings folded back 100mm to make the fabric edges neat and strong and put in just the right number of eyes for the ties.
Walter gave us colour options. . For no extra cost, we chose a nice green that fits well will the adjacent trees and our house roof. Others only offered white fabric which would have shown a lot more dirt. Walter's measurements were great - the cover fits perfectly.
The price was good too - significantly less than quoted by another company that did not offer to come to our home to check and advise."

The only minor faults I have with them is showing up late. I had no diagrams or drawings of how it was going to look and kept chasing them up. Questions were not answered, therefore there were numerous emails sent that could have been avoided. Also where they placed the concrete foot I had asked to concrete a little bit further. Not the greatest job done there and concrete was left on the house!
We are happy with the Awning therefore I would recommend, however in my experience patience is a virtue"

"Cool Awnings were truly fantastic. A retractable awning is my best option for summer shade and the awning supplied is fantastic quality and meets every request I had. The awning was actually made a year earlier and Cool Awnings happily stored it for me as I waited (and waited) upon other building requirements. There were a couple of small issues that arose and John from Cool Awnings dealt with these absolutely instantly; I was amazed. I had a tiny niggle because when I first requested the awning I was concerned that the colour I chose would be too hot and it most definitely was; resulting in my needing a new canopy which I paid for. I had discussed this with Jay before the awning was made and I didn't come away from the conversation truly understanding how hot that colour canopy would be. However, I'm not sure what Jay could have said to alter my perception given the issue was partly the necessary positioning of the awning."
