Dean installed a sump and pump at our property to manage storm water runoff from the hillside. From the outset, in scoping up the job, Dean was super helpful in providing options and problem solving to find a good drainage solution for us. Dean organised the plumber and sparkie that needed to do parts of the job and kept us well informed of the process and progress throughout the job. The installation looks great and got a good stress test in the recent storm, performing exactly as we had hoped. Really stoked with the work and will definitley be getting back in touch with Dean if we have any future drainage projects. Also just a top bloke! Highly recommend."

"Dean installed a pump / sump and novaflo piping and connected it to the stormwater system at the front of my house. Having a high water table mean't this was the best solution. Dean was excellent to deal with and got the job down quickly. I found him to be very reliable, skilled at his work, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future."

"Dean has done two jobs for us. Storm water drainage which we were super happy with so we got Dean back to replacing our waste water drains before we get a new drive. "I needed to eliminate a pond around my clothesline, either that or wear gumboots every time I hung out the washing. Dean came and scoped the project and priced it, then had to review the whole thing in light of the current drain which was barely below ground. Second go round Dean got it sorted-brilliant! He worked really hard, kept me informed, turned up when he said he would, made absolutely no mess and even replanted the flower bed that had to be dug up. Absolutely recommend."

"Dean did fantastic work digging out an area for a retaining wall to be built, as well as install 2x sumps and new nova flow pipes. Fixed up old drainage, which included amateur work done by the previous owner. Was easy to speak to and explained everything clearly, can't recommend Dean enough!"

"I can't rate Dean highly enough. He completed the job on our broken kitchen drain pipe quickly and efficiently. He arrived when he said he would and did an outstanding job. He had to dig up a section of concrete to get at the broken pipe; he did the repair; filled up the hole and concreted over it in a very professional manner. He left the site clean and tidy and removed all the rubbish."

"It took a while for Dean to be able to fit us in amongst his busy schedule, but it was well worth waiting for him to do the work. He was thoroughly professional and efficient, and knew what he was doing throughout. He put in two sumps using a digger. Then trenched and connected two downspouts underneath existing carports to each sump by hand. This was in sand and gravel based conditions. Our prevous drainage in Eastbourne was half a 44 gallon drum for each downspout that had silted and blocked up over the last fifty yeas or so. So a vast improvement on what was there before. Dean was finished within the three days he had allocated for the work. I highly recommend Dean to others."

"Dean was fabulous to work with, timely, great communication, great advice, professional, considerate, courteous, and delivered on time, even when delayed by other contractors.
Left the property clean and tidy, as much as he could considering he dug up my whole driveway to lay replacement and new sewage, drainage, water pipe. I would thoroughly recommend and use him again, thank you Dean!"

"Upon recommendation Dean came and did extensive repair/replacement work to the drainage on my property. This involved 4 days of his time, of which i don't think i saw him stop work once! He kept me informed on progress, was friendly and professional, and was considerate of my dog by ensuring gates were closed when she needed to go outside.i would highly recommend Dean for any drainage problems."

"I wholeheartedly recommend Dean's services to everyone looking to get their drains fixed. We had a biggish job at our residential house that included planning and laying a whole new stormwater and sewer drainage system. Dean worked alongside other tradesmen (earthworks and retaining) to plan how they would fit aspects of the overall project together. Dean and his team worked through weather that was not ideal and did the job quickly, efficiently, to specifications, and leaving a tidy area behind after finishing. We are very pleased with the results!"

"Dean the Drainlayer is FANTASTIC! Seriously, this is the only guy you need to fix your scary drain problems. Broken drains, mysterious leaks and their associated problems are scary at the best of times, even more so when you live in a different city and need to get these frightening things fixed from afar. Dean was recommended to me by two people, and I'm so glad I listened. The week I rang Dean, he was away, but he rang back straight away, scheduled me in and kept in regular contact prior to, during and after the job. He is super reasonably priced, turned up promptly when he said he would and took photos of the job as I requested (much appreciated for an absentee homeowner). The job was bigger than anticipated, with an undiscovered leak further up the line which was not originally picked up due to tree roots obscuring the earlier CCTV drain inspection. Not only that, this leak was the main cause of the problems and the reason my porch had sunk over time. Dean worked his magic on this leak, filled in the hole and the problem was fixed! I am so pleased to that by fixing these two leaks, Dean also solved the mystery of my sinking porch. Now I can get that lifted, knowing the real cause of the problem has been fixed. I can't recommend Dean the Drainlayer highly enough. Honest, hard-working, reasonably priced, trustworthy and does a great job - Dean the Drainlayer deserves to be your go-to drain man."

"An excellent job.
Dean came on time, worked steadily - and left our garden so immaculate I could not point out where the new drains had been dug. (I should have taken photos but didn't anticipate the work being done quite so quickly).
I had received four quotes including Dean's. His quote was somewhat more than the cheapest one (but not as high as the others) - but we selected him because he is qualified to run the drain being laid into the stormwater system. Once he had dug up the garden, there was more water than I had anticipated - had I gone with the cheaper quote the problem would not have been solved.
Would recommend giving him a call if you need to drain your property."
