Work is always done well, communication is brilliant and friendly.
If extra work needs doing (had issue with steering rack once on one of the cars) Les explained options and ensured that it was done in a cost effective manner.
I have complete trust in the quality of the work that Les and his team do. I have never really compared cost with other garages, however the invoices always… seem reasonable for whatever the work being done is.

After spending quite a bit of time on it they told me to fix it they would need to pull half the dash to bits. The gave a cost but advised mr it wasn't worth the cost. They didn''t charge me for the time alreay spent. They have had my buiness ever since and never let me down. Thes are a bunch of mainly old guys who really are mechanics. 100%"I have been taking my cars to Driscolls for the last 8 years. The mechanics are friendly and are always keen to make sure you understand the work they are doing before undertaking it.
They are well versed in older cars (I have a mid 90s) as well as newer cars with self-diagnostic tools.
Their after hours drop off park is fabulous. I leave my car there the night before it is booked in and then pick it up on the way home. No added stress in taking the car to the mechanics!

33%"Please be aware of the jobs they recommended you to do. I took my 13 years old Lancer to them to have a WOF. I was told I needed to spend $550 to replace certain parts including a power-steering hose, which they said was leaking. I cleaned it up at the joint (which had some oil at the joint) and drove for a day and found nothing was leaking. So I went to the other garage and had my WOF for $65.
However, Les was happy for me to take my car back after I paid the inspection for $55.
"Compliant Follow Up responded:"The wof inspection had failed because the power steering hose has been and is leaking. Mr Chun has clean & hidden fault with car after cleaning down leak. This leak will become noticeable after a short time of driving.The wof regulations are clear about this. 35%"I got a voucher for drscoll motors which was supposed to allow me to get all kinds of work done on my car for no labour i.e. I pay for parts and fluids etc only. One thing that was included was a free WOF with a service. I took my car along and within half an hour they were ringing me an $1100.00 quote for repairs! Just to get a warrant! I took the car, got the break pads and discs done somewhere else for $300, got new windscreen wipers, took it to VTNZ and they said they only thing wrong was… the fog lights were pointing too high!! Got them done - warrant all sorted. Thank goodness I didnt try and do all the repairs this place said I needed! Just disappointed I paid for a voucher that is now gong to save me no money! 100%"Service at its best. I had a noise in my vehicle when I first visited Driscoll Motors, I had been to at least 10 of the Wellington central service garages, but had no luck. The AA had recommended that I try Driscoll motors. I was attended to by Arnie, he carefully listened to my concerns, sat me down in the reception area, and attended to my vehicle whilst i waited. He came back to me in 10mins and said the problem is fixed.......I said thats it....he replied yes.....cost?...nothing he said… with a smile.
Thats me I said, i will be returning, and telling all of my friends and family about these guys. "Service With A Smile".

8%"BE AWARE THAT ALL MAY NOT BE GOOD AT DRISCOLL MOTORS!
To cut a long story short there were a couple of months of re-repairs, parts not turning up, lack of communication, dropping car of with nothing done all day (and not being notified), inconvenience of not having a vehicle for each day it was in, and eventually being told I needed an $800 part to finish the job (which I didn't get and I still don't need!), my car needed repairs during a road trip a week later that was related to what… Driscoll had been working on.
On top of this I was told that I was lying about the state of the car when I brought it in, and I was trying to swindle them in some way.
The only good thing I have to say is that everyone I spoke with seemed very polite and friendly (apart from the above comment).

0%"I was advised by Driscoll I needed a part for my car. Which I purchased at considerable cost. This part was in-fact not needed and there was no fault with my original part.
Dirscol took no responsibility for there advice they gave me, claiming "Doctors make mistakes all the time".
I approached Driscoll on two occasions to give them the opportunity to right the wrong, they failed to do so.
Because of their "mistake" I have been left with a big bill and a part I… don't need.
