"Woke up to one of the rooms in the house locked from inside. Found excellent reviews for Essential locksmiths so I rang Joe.He arrived on time, opened the door without any trouble, and made 2 keys,his visit only took about 20 minutes which included the convenience of being able to use my eftpos card on his portable eftpos terminal. It's great there are still some decent kiwi businesses around that don't take advantage of some unforseen circumstances. Thank you Joe and I hope you continue doing… a great job for your customers."

"I highly recommend Essential Locksmiths for any locksmith work needed around your house. We did not have keys for door knob locks on two 1980’s aluminium doors and phoned Joe to see what could be done. He was most helpful and informative, so we booked him for the following day. One lock was so old and rusted that Joe had to break it apart to remove it from the door. This was replaced by a new stainless steel knob lock set of handles, keeping the old lock mechanism in place. Joe was able to… re-cut keys for the second knob lock. Joe’s friendly manner and his workmanship was top notch. The final cost was very reasonable for the work completed. If we ever needed a locksmith again, we would definitely contact Essential Locksmiths."

"Essential Locksmiths (Joe) was the only company who offered to come and see the job to give me a proper quote. He re-keyed 5 locks, replaced 2 locks and fixed faulty locks. The quote was very reasonable and he did the job the next working day (even though it wasn't urgent). Joe also kept me up-to-date if he was running slightly late. "Phoned Joe a few days before,& arranged a day to change an outside door knob with a key lock & also adjust 3 latch fittings on 3 inside doors. Weren't latching the doors shut. Joe turned up on the day on time, & gave me a quote to fix & fit parts. He started job straight away. Did a top quality job. Very pleased with workmanship. Really nice guy. Would definitely get him back again. Top notch."

"A truly excellent service - from diagnosing a new replacement lock, arranging for it to be painted a different colour, through to fitting it. Fabulous job and so quick and clean. We had tried another local locksmiths (Pukekohe) prior to sourcing Joe - who said 'nothing could be done'. Yeah Right! Joe diagnosed a replacement lock immediately, sourced it and 'did the business'. From now on, it's Essential Locksmiths for us should we need any other lock work done around the house. Great job Joe!"
