We wanted a fence installed and garden to be redesigned at the front and boxed in pebble area at the back corner of our property under the washing line. Darius called up next day and came around and gave us a favourable quote for the work and time line when it would be done. The work started next afternoon and was completed within 3 days. 60%"Overall, I would say Green Earth landscaping would do a good enough job if you know what you want and project manage carefully along the way, watching out for what you expect versus what you are getting. Don't just expect to get a tidy, careful job - watch out for it. I engaged Green Earth Landscaping to clear a small back garden, remove a path and old grass, build some planter boxes and lay some paving and new lawn. Darius was great at communicating and negotiating and his team worked… quickly. Maybe too quickly because the planter boxes were not built very sturdily and needed remedial work with extra support posts and wood screws - why not use the proper screws the first time? I am still not sure they will last even 1 year, let alone the 20 years Darius promised. He also underfilled the planter boxes until I asked that they be properly topped up but then he added top soil that was full of weeds. I would say, double check what soil is going in and from where and what grade it is. The paving too, was not finished well with strange cutting decisions and irregular lines and concrete from the haunching, splattered over them and the house walls. Darius as always tried to offer solutions i.e., scrubbing the concrete off with a concrete brush and telling me it didn't matter because it was outside. However, essentially if just wasn't a very tidy job. When I mentioned discoloration on the pavers and sent photos, he tried to say I must have scrubbed them with chemicals. It turns out Firth say it takes a while for the pavers to settle. That's fine but Darius didn't say that at first; he jumped straight to trying to say I had done something to them and he had never seen anything like that before. Darius was very quick to ask for 75% up front and gave every reason for why the planter boxes and pavers were not that well done but not one of the reasons was poor workmanship. Anyway, in the end Darius mostly tried to respond to or make up for things that did not turn out as promised. The lawn seeding and care was good and looks fine and he has sent an employee back to strengthen the planter boxes. Fingers crossed they last a few years. The pavers will just have to have crooked edges and uneven cutting. I contacted Darius and he visited the property within 2hrs, gave me a plan and very reasonable quote which I accepted. He had his team out the next day and they worked so efficiently for a couple of days fixing all our gardens, retaining walls to an excellent standard. My name is Darius Karani and I run Green Earth Landscape and Garden Maintenance. My passion is the outdoors and I have over 30 years’ experience in this field.
