"Andrew and his team at Ground Up did an excellent job excavating and boxing a large concrete slab for our new swim spa, following the engineer’s recommendations exactly. The project was completed on time, within budget, and safely — and the workmanship was spot on.

They were a pleasure to have around our home: friendly, professional, and easy to deal with, with great communication throughout. They also left the area clean and tidy at the end of each day. Bonus points for letting our kids have a sit in the mini digger — it made their day!

"We had two areas on our section that we knew needed "something" but didn't know how to go about it. We contacted Andrew and he came the next day and we spent time discussing what we would like and listening to his suggestions. He was extremely knowledgeable so we took his advice on most things and we're glad we did. The two gardens he and his team created for us are wonderful and we're very happy with them. Andrew's team worked very hard the whole time they were here, very respectful of our home when coming in to use facilities and left the yard area swept and tidy whenever they left. They also undertook extra plant removal and replanting while they were here, willingly. A great team all round and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, or more importantly use them again."

"We have used Ground Up to build a new retaining wall for our property. During the recent floods our place seemed to be the go to place for water run off as our property is lower than the rest of the properties around us. Andrew had made some suggestions in which he thought would offer us a lot of relief with regards to water draining quickly from our property. We had a lot of vegetation which the digger guy had no problem clearing the vegetation. The work also included lots of new drainage and again the digger guy was very helpful. At the end of each day the workers made sure the place was left nice and tidy. If you want professionalism then this group are the ones to use. We absolutely highly recommend Andrew and his team of hard workers. If you want honesty then here it is. Our place looks amazing and the drainage is working really well. Finally we can rest at night and not worry about any heavy downpours at night. No more getting up with torches to check the water levels or the river outside our lounge door. So we highly recommend Ground Up if you want to get any landscaping done properly and are looking for honest and hard working contractors Ground Up is the company to use.Because of their work ethics we alos got them to do extra work to help the look of our property

"McQuoid Landscaping completed both a hard landscaping and soft landscaping job for us, based off a designer's plan.

From the beginning the communication with Andrew was excellent and he took a real interest in the project and making it a success.

He and his team got some early works done because the season was right - relocating a couple of small trees.

The main works were completed over summer. Andrew's team were hard working, highly skilled and a pleasure to have on our property. The project had a range of elements including demolition, fencing, decking, patio, gardens and retaining, all of which were expertly delivered.

They communicated well with us and made sure they asked questions before doing important things that might need a decision or had some uncertainty about what we really wanted. Andrew was often on site to make sure things were being done right, and ensured his team were delivering a high quality project. Overall they bring a great deal of care to what they do. Materials that aren't up to scratch from suppliers are returned and replacements sought.

The soft landscaping took place in early winter and we had a similar experience, though it was much shorter and less complex. Plants that weren't of the quality expected were returned and although this meant waiting a little till everything was ready, it made for a better result in the end than rushing in.

Together we decided on making some deviations from the plan, both in the decking and fencing and layout and planting, and the team talked everything through with us and brought the expertise to bear in both building and things like appropriate types of plants and what would work.

There were a number of plants we sourced ourselves in the end and these were clearly accounted for in the invoicing.

Andrew and his team are just a great firm to work with and we are very happy with the results. Now just waiting for the warmer months to see it all grow and enjoy it!"

"After struggling to lay pavers myself in a muddy patch which I wanted to turn into a nice BBQ area, I decided it was a job for the experts.

"Recently Ground Up Landscaping came to replace a retaining wall and small deck at my place. There was no large machine access so the job was labour intensive as hand digging was required. Before Christmas a received a starting date in January and a deposit was paid to secure the start date. As arranged, they arrived on the date and worked very hard. The crew were wonderful. They were organized, methodical, polite and got the job done on time. I am delighted with the wonderful job they made and their attention to detail that makes all the difference to the finished job. They are also very tidy and clean up at the end of each day. I really appreciated this . "Andrew and his team moved and replaced a 25m long retaining wall and boundary fence with difficult accessibility for us and were nothing short of fantastic to work with.

Andrew really listened to want we wanted to achieve, gave good knowledgeable advice and a really fair an reasonable quote for the work.

The job scope kept changing, and there were a few challenges with removal of tree's and diggers involved which didnt phase the team at all. "Tim and his brother replaced a large retaining wall which had been leaking. the new wall also included steps in our back garden, including a paved patio and a small retaining wall at the front of our driveway. The wall was completed in a timely manner but the steps were only half finished. We had to ask them to come back to complete a few things to our satisfaction. The steps remained unfinished until several months later. Less than 6 months after the large retaining wall was completed it was leaking. At the time of the original quote, we had asked for plastic and drainage and paid a price reflecting this. During the building of the wall, Tim changed how he was going to finish it. That included convincing us that the wall did not require plastic behind it. Our back patio is now worse than the original mess we had and no sign of it being rectified by Tim. After paying in excess of $30k we are extremely disappointed in the aftercare service. We now have to pay for a drain layer to rectify their mistake."

The finished product is a work of art and all of my client's have commented to me on their workmanship being excellent.

"Andrew and Tim were fantastic, they arrived when they said they would, they kept me totally informed when they left to go and get supplies etc and when to expect them back. They worked extremley well together and complimented each other in their overall skills. "The boys from ground up landscaping were great, I needed a 25m boundary fence put in and as it was a boundary fence I needed to go over the quote with the neighbours so we could half the payment, so that process took a while. Andrew and Tim patiently waited for the neighbours to agree with the quote. They then installed the fence that i couldn\'t be more happy with. Would recommend the guys to anyone."

"No problems from start to finish. A few extras were even thown in . Like setting up a raised vege garden that we had but had never got round to assembling. Not only set it up but filled it up too, all ready for us when we got back from our annual holiday. Great to deal with and would recommend to anyone.Even (volintarily) looked after the plants while we were away for two weeks."

"We got in Ground Up Landscaping to re-lay some pavers and re-box them and then to pour a concrete slab for our spa pool to sit on. The work was done to a high standard and very well priced. Would recommend them to anyone whether it\'s for a large or small job."
