"Hi Helen First of all, I apologies for the experience you have had with us. I would like to outline some points as following: We painted the exterior of your house in February 2021. You were very happy with the job we did. Therefore you asked us to come back to paint the interior in August 2022. Your property manager checked our painting work and did not bring any issues. When we came back in August 2022, we already noticed that: The exterior of the house was extremely dirty, damp and it looked like no maintenance had been done. The house should be maintained regularly or at least be washed every six months. The interior was extremely mouldy and humid, that was why I had suggested you to replace the carpet after painting. About the windows paint peeling because of the putty cracking, we already painted over 1mm over the putty to protected the windows, the existing putty already crack when we paint, we try our best to get it prep properly but even that without maintenance, damp weather that can cause the damage as well. When the water leaked through the putty, the paint is peeling off because the inside the putty will get wet and when the weather warmer that will get dry from inside and make the paint peeling. If we paint over the putty again, it will crack again and the paint will be peeled off again. I would suggest you to get a glaze guy to re-putty that windows then we can repaint it rather than keep repainting it and it will happen again. About the rust spot, I already explained that because the water seating on the sill and water can’t run off the windows, if it rains or even winter time the water takes longer to dry that why it get rusty , we had rusted treatment on every single nail even it not rust as we strip everything down. I can send you the photos if you want. Please also note that your house faces the sea which absorbs salt to damage the house as well. You will need to get it wash more often or at least 2 times per year. About your suspect we didn’t do 2 coats and not do the preparation probably , and when we discussed you mentioned the neighbours said we did 1 coat, I’m sure if we not prep probably and did 1 coat your house won’t last until now, Also we can’t do all coats on one day as well. We had to come and go many times from preparation, applying undercoat, first top coat and then second top coat. Unfortunately they did not see us come and go all the times and they already assumed that we did only one coat. This is really unfair for us. I hope this makes senses. Regards, Lucas "
