I contacted Knight Garage doors and the serviceman arrived on time as scheduled. He also called me 15 minutes before arrival to let me know. His name was Mathias, very friendly and nice young man. Service was completed in 30 minutes, now my mind is at rest, as its a very wide door and I dont want any problems.

100%"Had contacted two garage door repair companies. Due to some confusion, had to text Knight and have them cancel their appointment. They were good enough to text back saying that if their service is required; to please contact them. As soon as the other company's technician got down of his vehicle, he said "Oh, this door is badly damaged, and needs to be replaced with a new one". They quoted me $3,000, and said it will take about two and a half weeks. I contacted Knight's again.… They were good enough to accommodate me, by sending their technician Gawain the next day, as the repair work was urgent. He said it could be repaired, and l was quoted $1034 for the repair work. Within a couple of days they he came with a helping hand, and got the work done within one and a half hour, to our complete satisfaction. Kudos to their entire team for their great customer service and customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for any garage door service required. 100%"NzMatthias did the service of our garage door very efficiently and thoroughly. He sprayed the runners and the bottom inside of our garage door with a special rust removing spray.
He then replaced the battery in 1 of the Merlin remotes which had only been working intermittently.

18%"To be perfectly frank, I wouldn't recommend Knight Garage Doors to anyone.
My garage door had never missed a beat until a recent incident saw the drive cable come off the spool on one side. Knight sent out their technician Mathias whom yes turned up on time and when the office said he would, however it was noted that Mathias spent a lot of time on the phone getting information on how to fix the door from a senior member of the staff. About a day after the job was completed the door started not… finding its limit and would reopen upon closing. Mathias was sent back to rectify, and then I was told that the motor was 15 to 25 years old and needed replacing. Bearing in mind that this motor had run with no issue I phoned their office and requested a senior member attend to evaluate and see if it was a small adjustment that was required. This request was flatly refused and i was once again told the motor needed replacing.
Dear reader you can probably guess the rest. I basically adjusted the limits myself and the door now operates as good as it did eg: finds its limit and closes as it should. I believe a lot of companies take this same cop out attitude because its either easier to put something new in or they basically just want to sell you something or they haven't got the experience or the know how to do a proper fix. **** Poor!"Michelle Giles responded:"Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent experience with Knight Garage Doors. 78%"I have a new garage door installed by Gawain but the weather tight seal was in bad condition. The quote for the seal was $300. They were willing to come and replace the seal but because the initial install of the seal didn't impress me at all, I decided that I want the seal totally removed and there is no need to replace. They charged me $210 for coming back to remove the bad seal and replace with Mohair. I was thinking to myself, shouldn't Mohair come with the garage door if I have not elected… to pay extra $300 for the seal? Besides, the initial install was not satisfactory at all! I am attaching the photos so you can see how bad it looks.

Unfortunately the motherboard of the motor had died. So the serviceman organised to get a new motor ordered. Unfortunately as it happened during lockdown delivery was delayed for them. I had crashed into my friends garage door and her car was stuck inside it. We both had early starts in the morning so it was cruicial that we got the car out. Our main installer and owner Gawain, has extensive knowledge of garage doors from installation, to maintenance and repairs.
