"Michael and the team did an absolutely amazing job on our fence line trees.
These were quite tall and some were beginning to “invade” our neighbors properties. When I contacted Michael he came around the next day to give a free quote. What we really thought was awesome was that he took photos and advised us on not only the job at hand , but why he was doing certain things to certain trees. His arborist’s knowledge was very clear. The work when done was extremely professional and very thorough and on point. The team were polite and tidy finish to the 5-hour (approximately) job.
Everything was mulched and removed and the difference was mind blowing.
Communication was 100% during the lead up to the job, which the weather intervened on a couple of occasions, but Michael was true to his word on completing the job before Xmas.
I would absolutely recommend Leaves and Trees and Michael to perform anything arboreal to anyone.
He knows his stuff.
Make no mistake……this guy is a professional.

We weren't a big job for them but they bent over backwards to accommodate us super friendly and when I asked for some extra trees to be cut down when onsite they did it and all within the quote didn't charge me extra.

I got 3 quotes they were cheapest by far and quality of work was excellent.

I've already recommended them to all our neighbours."

"I found this business through No Cowboys and decided to use them based on the positive feedback they have. I wasn't disappointed. A very professionally run business with great communication. Mike came around to give us a quote and wrote up a very comprehensive quote. I wasn't sure why all the trees were labelled with they types they were until the team arrived to do the work and I realised they needed that information to identify which trees to work on and remove.

"Michael and his team did a great job. We had a large tree very close to the house (growing through it) - that had just gotten too big for the space and had to go. He and his team made sure the conditions were just right to do a safe job for them and us. By the time they had finished they had cleaned the site, stacked the rings of the tree they hadn't been able to mulch and left us with a pile of mulch to spread too. There were a lot of windows around the tree that could have easily have been damaged in one moment of carelessness. They are very much intact and letting in so much more light. "I wanted an arborist who knew what they were doing and who we could trust to effectively but safely prune a 100 plus year old magnificent oak tree to ensure it's health and wellbeing were unaffected. Michael and his team specialise in doing BIG tree's which isn't that common I found when I was trying to find someone. The climb and prune, then lower the branches.

"Michael and his crew were fantastic to deal with. We had just bought our first home with a very overgrown garden and several large trees that needed removing and branches on others overhanging the roof and getting close to power lines. A number of trees along the boundary with the neighbour needed cutting back to the boundary (with their permission)

Very helpful on initial quote and identified lots of the species of plants/trees in the garden for me and gave advice on which we could prune ourselves to keep the cost down. A couple I was told to chop and ground level and poison as they are nasty and invasive. I thought they were quite pretty so good to know this before they got spread all around the property.

The team arrived on the day of the job promptly and removed all the debris, with the wood from the trees that we had opted to keep for firewood dropped neatly in the garden. All the branches and chips were cleaned up and even the sawdust and leaves blown off the driveway. They even moved their gear and cut branches out of the way so I could get the car past with the baby in it part way through the job.

The neighbours E-mailed me a couple of days after the job was done to thank us for having the trees pruned back and a particular one removed which had been letting rats get on their roof. They were amazed at the amount of light getting in and really pleased with how everything looked from their side of the fence.

"Mike came to look at the two trees that needed felling and advised one with a split was dangerous so he went to his premises to get a binder to support the tree, this was without him knowing if his tender for the job was accepted. A lot of skill was required for removing the trees owing to their location, they were close to two houses and a garage. "During our most recent wild and wet weather, a large kanuka decided to uproot and slide down the bank beside the house. I rang Michael at 10 am and he arrived at 1 pm. Within a short space of time he removed the tree, sawed it into lengths suitable for a logfire and also took out another at risk tree. "We had just shifted recently and my father had fallen about 10 trees and pulled out 6 shrubs and left us with the mess. I thought about a bin but decided too much time needed in getting it all in the bin, so I rang around and got 4 businesses to come and give quotes,for mulching. Michael was the only one that turned up. His quote was very reasonable.
I also asked Michael if he could take down another couple of trees as well as chip the mess my father left!! They are arrived in the morning aout 8ish and were gone by about 10.30ish. I was amazed how quick it was done and how long it would have taken me to fill up the bin. They also asked if we wanted the lawn raked or not, so Michael always asked before doing anything and also very careful i.e. we had steps which they had to winch the trees up and over them, but he saw that as a potential problem and just informed his guys to not winch all the way. They filled our trailer with the left over rubbish that they couldn't mulch such as roots and flax, raked all the rubbish up and left the area very tidy. I have to say its almost worth planting more trees only to have Michael and his team come back again. Michaels men also very polite and helpful, nothing they wouldn't do for you and also go the extra mile. I was very very happy with Michael and his team and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or colleagues."
