"We had recently moved to Upper Hutt from Hawke's Bay leaving trusted trades people. So we were fortune enough to have been referred to Rod. We had an issue with our security lighting, Rod was very prompt, he was quick to diagnose and explained the electrical issues we had which, as it turned out were quite technical including non-compliant wiring. Rod rectified the wiring and replace a presence detector in a very efficient and professional manor. He even cleaned up after himself ! We are very happy with the work done, the cost was very reasonable, he provided an electrical certificate of compliance, he was pleasant to deal with and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Rod Powell of Mastersafe Electrical for any electrical work."

"Been my second time to work with Rod, and, as always, he did a fantastic job again! We've been renovating our bedroom, and needed an additional socket and to change old rusty existing one. Rod replaced the old socket, and added a new flashy one, leaving enough wire to reposition sockets in the future if needs to be. We also had an old wire under the ceiling space we would like to change; however, due to the age of the house it didn't have Earth wire in it and couldn't be changed to new cable, so unfortunately the work was postponed. Nonetheless, Rod was very kind and offered to put a piece of new wire under ceiling space so we don't need to remove the installed ceiling next time when we'd like to start rewiring the house in the near future and then we can connect to new wire Rod has left without no issues (and it will save us a lot of time and nerves too!).
All the job was done exceptionally neat and to the high quality, with all the required tests done. Rod was very polite, gave good advises, and described how electric parts work! Highly recommend Mastersafe and Rod, and with no doubt will work with Rod again.

"Rod arrived on time, completed the work efficiently and gave great advice too. He carried out the repair of damaged lighting cable at front of our house, and installed a new external light fitting. "Had the most excellent experience with Rod when we retrofitted our laundry. Rod installed new socket outlets, and washing machine and dryer control switches. We also had an awkward switch in inner room which turned on a pot h light. Rod kindly relocated the switch, so now its located on more designed place for it.
Rod is a great person and awesome attentive and highly experienced person. Always on time, very punctual and exceptionaly reliable. It was our first experience with electricity works, and Rod was super helpful giving us advises for the best outcome for our laundry (which also saved us money, thank you Rod!)
The job was done on time, very neat and high quality! Will highly recommend Rod to anyone looking for a good electrician!"

"Rod routed gas heater supply cord through built-in furniture and installed new plug.
On 6 November, he removed an old fan and fitted new decorative light. Both jobs were done to a very high specification. Rod is always on time and his charges are very reasonable. The best electrician I've had in years."

"Our outside lights weren't working so Rod diagnosed the problem and ended up changing two light switch mechanisms and chasing down the cause of a bad circuit test. He then certified the work completed.

"Based on previous work, I hired Mastersafe Electrical to replace the MCBs in my kitchen switchbord with RCBOs.
As with my previous experience the work was professional and to a high standard. The upgrade was thoroughly tested and I was provided with a copy of the circuit / RCBO test results. Once again a great experience."

"Rod installed new light fittings in our hallway and dining room, and moved power point locations . He listened to what we wanted, gave great advice and did an excellent job.
We had previously worked with Rod from Mastersafe for all the electrical work in our kitchen refurbishment -moving power points, wall ovens and appliances and completely changing our lighting. He gave us suggestions on the lighting configurations in the kitchen and we loved the way it turned out. We would 100% work with him again."
