Hot and cold water had been incorrectly plumbed into existing plumbing and when they returned to rectify wanted to swap the coloured disc on the handle. Knowledge of installer was poor. Enjoying a newly occupied home, BUT the toilet cistern has an intermittent ‘drip’ .. nothing like a muted ‘plop plop’ through the night to spoil your slumber, so decided it’s gotta be silenced. A quick scrutiny of Plumbers close-by on ‘No Cowboys’ and the name ‘Polite Plumbers’ takes my attention, as I saw their cleverly sign-written van on the road only a few days ago. Very quickly on-site, work begins, and one of the 2 pleasant gents attending… forewarns, having done some number-crunching, that the job’s going to cost more than we’d anticipated (I’d indicated on their arrival that cost was a consideration).
Have delayed the repair until after we address one or two more urgent issues, but am VERY appreciative of the heads-up, and the gracious manner in which they accepted my postponement .. No callout fee, and free quotes.
We are based on the North shore, but work out to other areas too. We work from 8am to 5pm, and have an after hours callout service which carries an after hours callout fee. Usually there are no callout fees during business hours. We specialise in bathroom renovations and Cylinder installs. Fully insured and registered plumbers.
What we do
We are good at residential plumbing repairs and installations. We have great faultfinding abilities. We do repairs and installations of: Hot water cylinders, toilets, drains, showers, baths, basins, washing machine taps and wastes, dishwasher and fridge connections, insinkerators, valves, pipes and bathroom and kitchen renovations. We are neat and leave a work site clean after every job.
