"This is a first class company to deal with in every respect. They painted our old wooden house - even sorting some rot issues along the way, and now it looks great - we're getting compliments from the neighbours :-) From the first email contact, initial site visit, follow up phone calls and detailed quote, as well as updates throughout, all the communication was positive and helpful, friendly and prompt. "I booked PAQ on the basis of previous reviews here and yet, was simply blown away by the quality of their work.
The exteriors specially the cedarboards were a bit neglected and PAQ have done an awesome job restoring the property to better than new. Paul and his team were very knowledgeable and worked on my home as if it were there own. Spending alot of time on the prep work especially with all the defects we had in the walls and roof, to ensure a high quality paint job.
Paul and his team were very friendly and respected my home by ensuring everything was covered and protected and at the end of each day would tidy the house. Having them around was an absolute pleasure. They always went over and beyond when ever I had an additional request, to ensure the house would be absolutely perfect.

"Our 1920s bungalow in Sandringham has been totally transformed by Paul and his team. If you are looking for the quick sand and paint you are in the wrong place, our house exterior was fully stripped back to bare timber and has been fully restored to its former glory. The attention to detail has to be seen in person to be believed.

No stone was left unturned in the paint stripping process, no gap not filled and no detail was too small during the preparation and painting work. Paul always had time to discuss other improvements along the way and even helped coordinate these, such as, relocating our heat pump, overhead power and fibre optic cables, which added hugely to the overall finished look of the house.

Our builder worked alongside the Precision & Quality team to swap out some timber windows and upgrade the front door. The builder describes the painters as being the real deal in terms of quality.

Paul provided the initial quote and finished the work by the agreed date. He works onsite, drives the 4 man team and is always available on the phone or via text to answer any and all questions, I work in construction as a Project Manager so I had a lot of questions.

"Truly don't know where to start, Paul and his team have completely transformed our house.
After 8 years living here with 4 young children and 2 big dogs it was high time to have the house redecorated.

"Paul and his team did an awesome job. We had a few quotes for our job - full repaint of our 1930's bungalow.

Paul delivers fantastic value for money. PAQ are not the cheapest - they approach each job with a very high standard of care and passion and their quotes are detailed and list all the work to be done. This makes it easier to understand the effort involved and Paul also has the skills to deal with alot of issues older houses can deal - rather than just laying new paint on old paint as may painters do. The materials used for e.g. the occasional window rebuild are also vastly superior.

It was obvious early on the level of detail and attention PAQ gives is superior. All the small details are taken care, nothing is an issue. I also loved being actively involved painting the deck. The site was kept very clean daily and the final result is stunning. The gloss white windows, blue front door and weatherboards are stunning and, having taken the house back to bare timber, its a job that will ensure the house remains in great condition for many years to come.

"I have a house that has not been well looked after for many years and what work was done was a quick cheap one. Rick and the team painted the inside late 2019 and did a wonderful job. Rick is very particular and it now looks amazing. They had a lot of prep work to do due to the poor original work.

"We own a 1930's bungalow in Sandringham that was in desperate need of an external paint renovation. Paul, Rick and the PAQ team did an absolutely outstanding job transforming our home, painting the entire house including the roof. It was a sizeable job requiring much of the house to be sanded back to the bare wood but the care, detail and effort the team put in was amazing!

We went into lockdown twice in Auckland whilst Paul, Rick and the team were on the job, so we were at home for the majority of the project. I can honestly say it was a pleasure having the guys around, and since we were home, we got to see first hand the hard work the team were putting in to deliver a great result.

Paul and Rick have extremely high standards and an eye for detail and this shows up in the initial detailed quote, property inspection and recommendations for remediation work prior to painting starting, the weeks of preparation and then the perfect finishing - these guys are true craftsmens!

Our two young girls loved having Paul and Rick around - as they always had time to have a yarn with them, exchange some banter and occasionally take some orders from the "little bosses".

"Paul and his Team painted the exterior of our house about 7 years ago and we were so impressed with their professionalism and quality of workmanship, when we starting planning our interior renovations we immediately thought of Paul and thankfully he was able to fit us in again. We had decided on natural paints, which were new to both Paul and us, but again, Paul was very accommodating and prepared to give them a go, which was very much appreciated. Our choice of wall colour presented a few challenges, requiring extra coats and extending the job, but Paul kept us informed of the issues and charged us a fair price for the extra time required. Aside from this, our job turned out to be a rather disjointed one, with lockdowns and other unforseen delays with building contractors, which was frustrating for us all, but Paul kept in contact and ensured us he would return in the new year to complete the painting work, which he did. We are really grateful to Paul, Rick and the Team for their patience and perseverance, working in and around all the delays and comings and goings. "After leaving our details with the Resene Colour Shop at Westgate, Paul very quickly made contact and arranged a time to meet to provide a quote.

We own a Circa 1860's cottage with a dark, dated colour scheme and wanted to repaint the interior white, which required plastering and a lot of painting preparation.

True to their name, the cast & crew of Precision and Quality Painting Ltd were fastidious — paying great attention to detail in painting preparation for ensuring a top quality finish (six coats of primer & paint to ensure there was absolutely no show-through of the existing dark interior colours).

We went with their paint recommendation of a lighter on trend white which was spot on and bought the tired and dark unit back to life, even though it had to cover a darker colour underneath. "We have a lifestyle block in Kumeu with a 10 year old home that has been rented out for several years. When we returned from Wellington to live in the home again, I nearly cried when I saw the cracks that had developed from the house settling, the marks on the walls and how tired and worn out the house looked. We made the decision to do a complete repaint - ceilings, walls, architraves and new skirting boards to boot plus exterior soffits and replaster and paint the chimney! This was a big job with 4 bedrooms, 3 living areas, 3 baths and lots of halls! I did my research and found PAQ. From day one Paul was extremely professional to deal with - he came around when it suited me to quote, organised the builder to acquire and install the new skirting, had his team here every morning before 8am sharp, helped with some of the colour decisions -- not easy! -- and cleaned everything up. At each step, he made sure that every last detail was covered - plastering any little crack or mark, cleaning the ceilings and finishing the walls impeccably. His team worked on the project for over 3 weeks and have left nothing to even consider complaining about. I can't recommend him highly enough for residential, commercial or even farms! "We engaged Paul and his team for an inside repaint job. It was just ceilings and walls, but we have a lot of angles and high pitch areas, which in one area required inside scaffolding. Paul and his team were extremely helpful, efficient, clean and tidy, and their quality of work was extremely high. The work required a lot of preparation to smooth out bad plastering to ensure a good paint finish. Paul's team were "on the job" promptly every morning and worked very diligently to ensure the work was carried out to our satisfaction, and also their own high standard.
On completion the high pitched chandelier was not re-hung to our satisfaction, and with no hesitation at all Paul had his team rebuild the scaffolding and correct the hanging position of the chandelier. A great effort, and much appreciated.
Throughout the painting period Paul and his team kept the house very tidy, and worked around our living needs.

"I cannot speak highly enough of Paul and his team at P&Q Painters. They have completely restored and transformed our family home to a point that I couldn't have imagined. Our house hadn't been professionally painted since it was built 36 years ago and was in a terrible state. The weatherboards were extremely damaged and the wooden framing rotten and old. I found Paul on the No Cowboys website and asked him to come around and give me a quote. He was extremely knowledgeable and made some really helpful recommendations of things that needed to be addressed. I could tell from our initial meeting that he was a perfectionist and would do an excellent job, and I wasn't disappointed. Before even starting the task of painting the house, him and his team spent many long back breaking hours cleaning, sanding, filling and restoring the weatherboards to a smooth finish. "They have just completed their fourth major job for us and, like the previous three, the result is simply outstanding. When we first contracted them, a few years ago, to paint the entire interior of our house we were most impressed with their attention to detail, a level of "perfectionism" that could only warm the heart of a client, at the general friendliness of the work crew, and an astounding ability to clean-up at the end of each day so the house remained liveable throughout the process. They have just completed the restoration of all the cedar window and door joinery, which after two plus decades had deteriorated to a point where they were in danger of having to be replaced. I was frankly slightly skeptical when Paul Saunders assured me that they could treat and save the lot, as well as to restore a sadly mouldy and stained thick cedar door to its original glory. They did. And as before, a superbly skilled and personable crew appeared daily for 3 weeks and disappeared, almost without leaving any traces, each afternoon. And the cost was not unreasonable in the least. I would recommend P&Q Painters to anyone and everyone."
