"What a great team these guys are. Prisma Painters have just completed a full interior re-paint of our large Grey Lynn villa and they have done an amazing job. We got a few quotes which were all fairly similar, but right from our first contact with Harry and Kim we felt we could trust them to do a good job and they have surpassed our expectations. Consistently great communication throughout the job and a really nice team to have in our house for four weeks. I can’t recommend these guys highly… enough. I just wish all the tradies we have had working on our home were as easy and pleasant to deal with as this team."

"Kim, Harry, and the team consisting of Auckland local guys did a great job repainting the exterior of my two-storey weatherboard house. They have a good partnership with a decent scaffolding company, which saved my time doing the extra quotation and communication. They overcame the hot summer to finish the job on time at reasonable expenses. They also did extra coats at where they thought necessary voluntarily. "Kim Gunter and his team did a great job, yet again. We had them come and paint the outside of our house in 2015 and after finally getting around to re-decorating our downstairs room, we had them back again. We're really pleased with the result! Kim also really knew what he was talking about regarding our concrete wall - part of which had some leakage issues with limestone coming through. After clearing it out an epoxy filler and a sealant was applied before painting. It all looks so fantastic… now - Thanks Kim!"

"We engaged Prisma Painters to paint our roof and the outside of our two story weatherboard home. It hadn’t been painted for over 10 years and needed a lot of preparation. They supplied us with a very detailed quote and were helpful and friendly in assisting us with the colour scheme and recommended their trusted scaffold company who we used. Prisma Painters did a great job and clearly take pride in their work. They were good communicators and were able to quickly arrange for some timber rot… to be repaired by one of their contacts while they were working. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely recommend them to others."

Kim was extremely professional and thorough when he came to inspect our property and the quote was well itemised. "We selected Prisma from a list of painters supplied by our local Resene store. We contacted Kim and asked him to call on us to offer his suggestions on how we could revitalize the exterior of our home. (Two story town house in brick and cedar.) In particular the cedar stain was faded and the cedar weatherboards were very weather worn. Kim arrived on time and we found him very friendly and personable. He has great knowledge and experience of the painting process and provided useful… information and options of what could be done to protect and enhance the look of our home. "We got a card from our sister in-law who had work done in their bathroom (was small but looked great). We were wanting our house exterior painted and after a few quotes we were happy with what Kim offered and gave a great break down on what the job would involve. Got in touch with him and he arrived promptly and on time. There are sooooo many shades of white we asked Kim for some advice but had kind of an idea of the direction we wanted to go - some of his answers were awesome and made us feel… like we were making the right decisions. "My wife and I took a fair bit of time looking for painters to prep and paint the outside of our home. We wanted it repainted top to bottom as it is an older 80's style home that needed a little updating on the outside. We wanted the job done properly and were prepared to pay a little more to have some consultancy and quality workmanship (we're terrible with colours ourselves). Kim was great at advising and pointing in the right direction with colour and design and was very helpful in clearly… outlining what had to be done and the cost. Before, during and after the job we were very happy with the quality of work and the experience working with Kim and his team. We were really happy with the final look which did wonders in updating our house. Of particular note was the quality of the painters involved. "Prisma Painters are truly unique in the world of tradies, for three reasons: they're good communicators. They're nice people. And they're good painters. I'm done with morons. I'm sticking with these guys.

The team of guys were experienced, lovely, and they were very flexible with the tricky building delays we had. I was impressed by the professionalism of Kim, how quickly he responded to my initial call and subsequent queries and the care he took in measuring up and providing a quote. "We were very happy with the work that Kim and his team did painting the exterior of our house. The quote was not too expensive or too cheap, but very reasonable and also included some other work - such as small repairs + water blasting & staining our 2 decks - that needed to be done, which made everything so much easier.
I found Kim to be very helpful and informative in answering all the questions I had before he gave us a quote - unlike some of the other people we had quotes from. Kim… was very easy to get along with, and I felt comfortable in talking to him about what we were after - even when we disagreed on trim colours, it wasn't a problem!

There were some minor issues afterwards, that Kim was happy to come back and fix up - we know it is impossible for some of these things (like bubbling) not to happen on some surfaces, and Kim was very knowledgeable in working out why it had happened in certain areas and what could be done about it (or not).

We would be very happy to recommend Kim and his team at Prisma Painters to anyone looking to paint their house - and may well be getting them back in a few years to do the inside! :)

It definitely helped that we were away for the first week of preparation, but I felt confident that Kim and his team would respect our property while we were away."

"We contracted Prisma Painters to paint the exterior of our house. I can't recommend Kim and Prisma Painters more highly. We met with several painting companies for quotes before we made our decision. We choose Kim because we felt he was the most professional, honest and highly knowledgable in his approach - above all else we felt that we would be able to communicate openly and honestly with Kim throughout the process. Our house had not been painted in a long time and the exterior was in… very poor condition. Kim and his team did an excellent job preparing the house, were professional throughout the process and ensured there was minimal disturbance to our daily routines.
