100%"I cannot thank this team enough for saving me from financial disaster. I was under a conditional offer and getting pressure from the real estate agent to get the vendor's report put under my name and not get my own independent inspection (something about indemnity and coverage for the issues that their inspection had identified). Please do not make the same mistake I almost made and cave in to this pressure! The RealSure inspection found that the house wasn't weathertight and already had some… damage, after that I had an independent builder quote the repairs for this damage and to make the house weathertight to be upwards of $100k, with a $40-50k paint job on top.
The RealSure team talked me through their assessment and the whole process to help me make an informed decision. The next house that they assessed for me, they still found more significant issues than the original vendor's report (from a different real estate company and inspection service), but all within manageable limits. And so I now have bought a wonderful home, and I'm confident that I have the best possible idea of the condition and risks associated with this purchase.

The house had a few serious issues we were not aware of prior to the inspection by REALSURE (and were not in the vendors provided builders report).
Thanks - you saved us from buying a leaky home, with foundation issues.
Oh - the whole process took under 24 hours too as we had minimal time before the deadline… sale date.

I have to say Bruce was very thorough and spent a good amount of time going through the property checking everything that buyer would want and needed checked.
The report sent out went was very detailed and gave us a very good idea on the condition of the property and pointed out areas that as new owners would need looking into… in the future. This report has given us the basis and maintenance plan to look after the property.

95%"When we had our offer accepted on a house we knew straight away who we would use for our builders report- Realsure. Having previously come across a few dodgy looking vendor supplied reports we had done our research and come across Realsure. They are known for being the best in the industry with qualified inspectors who are for the buyer. We had to wait until the day before our condition was due to be confirmed because Realsure was so booked out and popular, but it was worth it. Sarah called me… before the appointment to explain the process, how things worked and what they would be looking out for, she also asked if we had any particular concerns or areas we wanted to draw their attention to. Because we had limited time Bruce called straight after the inspection and went through his findings with us on the phone. He explained issues found, how urgent they were and the overall condition of the house, he even offered a rough estimate for remedial work. Bruce with the help of colleagues in the office (Gwenn and Pat) pulled out all the stops to get the report to us that night at about 7pm. Normally this takes 48 hours but they went above and beyond to get it to us. The report was in depth, with easy to understand colour coding for issues and a heap of pictures to go along with it. Bruce was great to deal with and really patient when we had to call late that night to ask about a couple of things. The whole team at Realsure have been super customer focused, following up along the way and making sure that we were satisfied. It was maybe a little bit more expensive than some other companies but it was definitely worth it for the quality of the report and the customer service. I knew that if Realsure said house was okay, I could be rest assured. Bruce was our inspector and his inspection was as thorough as it could be from a visual inspection. The report was also laid out with colour coding that made it very easy to find his concerns. As well as this, the report looked at things we hadn't even thought about and laid everything out in easy to understand language for a… non-builder.

When we came under sudden time pressure to get the building report done, Real Sure was flexible enough to get the report or printed up and across to us the next morning (i.e. less than 24 hours after the inspection) and it was still thorough and well laid out.

I was wanting to tender for a property in Wellington and thought the builder’s report provided by the vendor through the Estate Agent inadequate. I was correct. 48%"There is such thing as too thorough. Realsure looked at every part of the house and found problems with everything they saw. This is fine in and of itself, but they didn't attach any context to their findings; they just pointed out issues without saying how important the issues were, how urgent they were or even a ballpark figure for fixing them. This meant that we had to basically take or leave the house (we left it) rather than use the information as a decision-making or negotiating… tool.
Further, the report was full of "could' "might" and "may". Again -- not very helpful. A lot of things COULD happen. To make an informed buying decision, I need to know how likely an outcome is, and what its possible impact is. They came around and took some readings and told me the readings 'might' indicate something was wrong, wouldn't explain what this meant or provide me with any useful information, felt like they were just covering themselves. I have heard similar poor experiences from other people.

100%"Realsure were very professional and produced an excellent report that covered everything we could expect, enabling us to make and eyes wide open decision. They picked up on all issues with the property down to a very small detail. Personally I prefer this as its a large investment and want to know everything we could be in for in the coming years. 100%"I thought buying my fourth home would be a daunting experience!. I have to say that I do not trust RealEstate agents one bit. I have learn\'t from experience (costly I might add and stressful) I have been bitten in the past. RealEstate Agents are there to SELL you a house. They do not know the bones of the the house, only the cosmetic condition. This time I hired REALSURE to check the property for me.
All I can say is WOW!. Yes the report cost me a small sum, but I was presented with a… very acurate report on the property condition and I might add in a language that I can understand. It is said that buying a home is one of the most stressful things you can do in your life, however, I was so glad that I had the inspection done. 98%"Realsure was the most expensive building indpection company that I rang. All the others were recommended by the realtor, which is always a bit suspicious. This one was recommended by my mortgage broker. Sarah spent fully an hour on the phone with me going over exactly what I could expect and explaining why it was worth the money -- I know that sounds 'salesy' but my experience of her has been nothing but genuine customer service. The Inspector was great and stayed longer than was scheduled to… finish the job. After the inspection I spent another hour on the phone with Bruce going over some of the issues that had come up and discussing possible solutions. They are a joy to deal with, their qualifications are better than others, I know I got a quality report, and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
