"In a recent storm we had high winds remove a window flashing from our house, and water pouring in.

Shane bent over backward to get to us quickly and proceeded to stand in the pouring rain to fix our house.

He was prompt, polite, friendly and his workmanship top notch.

I would not hesitate to call again and plan to use their services for any work they cover going forward.

"Shane has gone above and beyond on the work he has done for our house. He has most recently rebuilt one of our walls for us with a water cavity system so that if water gets in it can still escape, along with redoing the flashing on one of our windows. Shane is extremely prompt in communicating, gives great advice, is punctual and his work is always completed to an extremely high standard.

He has a great work ethic and we highly recommend him to others. We use him time and time again as we know that we can trust him and the work he does."

"We are very happy with Shane's work. He recently undertook a fence re-capping and a deck rebuild for us and completed both to a high standard.
His skillset, attention to detail and awareness of weather-tightness is outstanding (as the deck was rebuilt on existing bearers it was Shane's idea to install an aluminium flashing where the decking meets the house to push the drip line out).
Shane is a man of integrity, he's honest and straight up. Has a great work ethic – even our neighbour commented on how hard he was working on the job!
A few years back Shane built a formidable and solid wood shed for us shortly after we moved in here, and looking back at the comments I made here on the site then, I said he had "built a structure that will serve us well for many years". It certainly has, and I expect this new deck will do likewise.
Highly recommended."

"Shane Stewart has just completed work done at our address in Whitby to take down and replace damaged trellis fencing, repair damaged bench seats and replace them and repair the deck railing we asked him to do. His work was professional, excellent and he went beyond our expectations and cleaned up perfectly. "Shane did a urgent repairing work to rebuild damaged hotwater cabinet. He had had quote ready in a day and started the work in the coming Monday.

He coordinated the work with with plumber and electricians. He worked hard and the job was completed as planned in two days. the site was kept clean after he checked out.

Shane is very professional and great in communication. I highly recommend him and would definitely give him more work in future."

"I definitely recommend this company. Shane came round to assess the job within two days of me calling him, he then provided a quote the next day, and did the actual work just a few days after that. Overall the job was finished within a week of me contacting him.
The job itself was quite a straight forward repair to my garage ceiling where it had come away and was hanging down. Shane did a good job of securing the ceiling back up and screwing in some lengths of wood to make it extra secure.
Shane got the job done quickly, was pleasant to deal with and I'm sure I'll use him again."

"Shane came round to do some work for us earlier this week and did an absolutely fantastic job. We had some boxed corners that needed replacing and Shane knew exactly what needed to be done and explained to me how he was going to do it. He was responsive and communicated well. "Shane completed some work for us last week and did an excellent job. We had some existing french doors that needed some old hinges replaced. Even though this turned out to be trickier than anticipated Shane persevered and did an excellent job.
Shane also replaced an exterior box corner, which re had premade and then fitted and finished - also an excellent job.
He tidied the site well afterwards and was a joy to work with. We will definitely be sending more work his way."

"Shane did an exceptional job from the initial quote to completing the job. He helped realigned a gate door, maintained a cracked ceiling with a good paint job to building a fence. "I have known Shane for the past 12 years and worked with him on many and varied commercial projects from a small kitchen fit out to medium sized office refurbishments thru to the project co-ordination of a significant refurbishment on a Heritage Listed building in Hutt City.
Shane has proven himself to be hard working, forward thinking carpenter and site manager with a clear understanding of the project goals and completion requirements. His attention to detail and understanding of construction sequences and operations has made him a valuable component of the project teams.
Shane takes instruction and is able to prioritize workflow, materials and staffing to ensure the final results are to a very high standard.
Shane works well within the project teams and is willing to ask questions and offer solutions. He is a problem solver not a problem finder. By this I mean he will identify an issue and then using his knowledge of the building industry, Code requirements and NZ Standards will present the issue not as an item that someone else needs to resolve but rather to say this is my concern and this is one (or two) possibilities on how we could resolve this.

"Shane completed an awkward job for us turning a previous hot water cylinder cupboard into a very useable kitchen friendly fit out. Several holes needed to be gibed out and replastered, a removable box was constructed to cover exisitng gas and water pipes and two shelves were installed. We are very happy with the resultant job.
