100%"We had 8 massive yuccas at the rear of our property that Stumpdog recently cut down lower (our chainsaw was useless - theirs is a BEAST!) and stump-ground.
Everything about the experience with them was exceptional and impressive. I loved how they were:

* Friendly * (ha - Josh seemed really serious when he was doing the job - which is lucky really as it could be dangerous if he wasn't! - but lovely and friendly to talk to… afterwards, and of course he looks the part!)

* Knowledgable * (When I mentioned to Matt that we were thinking of replanting the yuccas further back and he showed hesitation given their experience of the trouble their root system causes…shortly after grinding we found a yucca root coming through the pool liner at the far end of the pool - about 10 metres away from the original tree - and we can feel a root through the liner right along the length of the pool! - yikes! - so needless to say, we are taking their advice and NOT replanting them!)

STUMPDOG specialise in stump grinding and root removal- eliminating stumps and roots left behind after trees, hedges and gardens have been cleared or cut down. We provide an experienced, safe, reliable, and cost-effective stump removal service. We have a range of machines to suit any Job big, small and difficult access. We can work in conjunction with your arborist or as a stand-alone service. We chew through anything - stump grinding is the no-fuss stump and root removal solution.
What we do
Stumpdog specialises in removing and grinding stumps to create more space in your backyard, to allow better access to your property and remove issues that may be caused by large tree roots and your plumbing system. If you have just had a tree cut down then you most likely have a potentially dangerous, obstructive and damaging tree trunk or stump and roots remaining. Even low to the ground the stump can cause issues if allowed to stay. If the tree trunk is still alive, new shoots will continue to grow out of the trunk and roots. If the tree trunk is dead, it can attract termites and other pests.
WHY HAVE THE STUMPS REMOVED?
Remaining stumps can rot and decay, attracting insect infestations such as termites and white ants, create a trip hazard and just take up space that you could utilise for a much better use.
We use the latest stump grinding machinery which allows us to handle properties with awkward access, big stumps, small stumps and everything in between.
WHAT IS A STUMP GRINDER?
Stumpdog’s stump grinding machines are powerful devices that have a spinning disc rotating a very high speeds and tungsten carbide teeth that eat away at tree trunks and stumps. Only an experienced operator should undertake stump grinding and removal as an inexperience operator run the risk of damaging property or injuring themselves.
Our gear will remove the stump and the roots by literally grinding them out. All that is left is mulch that you can use to fill the hole, or elsewhere in your garden. Ask us for a quote if you require the mulch to be removed from the property.
