"I discovered "The Gate Doctor" some years ago and they are my go to for any electronic gate repairs. They are quick to respond and communicate very well so you know what is happening. Their admin. is great to deal with and their Technician Ido is a fantastic worker who really knows his stuff. Their pricing is good as well. "Arranged with the Gate Doctor to find why the automatic driveway gate motor would close the gate, but not open the gate. He arrived at the agreed date and time to assess it. He did diagnostics and found that the controller board had corroded. He returned later with the ordered replacement part and installed it. Also gave advice on maintenance of the motor, including insect spray around the motor to prevent insects entering the controller board and fusing it.
Happy with his service and advise.
Would happily recommend him to my friends.
I would use him again."

"I had been quoted $2395 by another Auckland company for the supply and installation of a new gate motor as mine was "too old".
Ilo arrived, fitted a new capacitor and was gone 30 minutes later. Total charge $274. I am delighted at the cost saving and The Gate Doctors efficiency. Thoroughly recommended."

"The Gate Doctor were honest and reliable - they gave me the exact date they could come to repair my gate (on two occasions - different reasons for not working - over the year) - they didn’t say they would be out in a day or so then not turn up or continued to give excuses like a previous company I tried to deal with - they turned up on the day - did an excellent job and I also liked the “price” of the invoice- awesome company to deal with"

"We had two big automated gates and a motor installed by The Gate Doctor - a $34,000plus job. We dealt with Ido who prepared the quote, arranged for the gates to be fabricated, and then installed them with assistance from his staff as necessary. In all our dealings with Ido he was prompt, courteous, efficient and professional. The finished gates look great and perform perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ido to others - in fact I will be asking him for a quote to install automated gates at my son's property."

"The Gate Doctor team were a delight to deal with from beginning to end. Due to a MV incident my gate needed to be repaired (turned out to be replacement of the gate) and for over a month the original supplier was too busy to even return calls or quote on the repair.

My insurer put me onto The Gate Doctor. Within 24 hours he had made contact, next day assessed the damage and provided quote to the insurer. The process was super fast, efficient and Ido was great at explaining the process to me. He even came up with a solution to an issue with my entrance way that I didn't think was solvable."

"A somewhat difficult job late arv was to take another two hours finishing after 7pm.
It required skill and technical finesse with no shortcuts approach to locate problem and then have the patience to deal with another very irritating problem.
Technican got there in the end because he knew his stuff.
Superb work .reasonable charges."

"We sought out Ido after we had a quote from another company (over $3000) and we just wanted to compare prices.
There was a little bit of a wait for an appointment however, I guess that happens when you are a busy company! Receptionist was super patient and helpful in trying to get a time for us.
Ido came out for the job and rang after he was done and told us what the problem was and gave us advice on how to avoid it next time. He even checked and adjusted parts of the gate for us that weren't part of the problem he initially came out for.
The job came out to less than $200. He diagnosed the problem correctly and in the end saved us over $3000!!
A big thank you!! Highly recommend this company!"

"Ido fixed up an ongoing problem with the automation on my driveway gates. This was after some earlier problems which hadn't been properly addressed by alternative service providers. His diagnosis was correct and the remedy was made on the date agreed. I have full confidence in him for any future work or maintenance required and would recommend him to others."

"I had been having ongoing problems with my Security Gate installed by another company. I was initially told that I needed all new components when this Gate is only 3 years old which they did replace, however the Gate was still failing. I phoned Ido for his electronic engineering expertise after reading all his positive feedback . He replaced the original Board (an expensive component!) completely cleaning it out on the inside and wrote a Report stating that whilst he couldnt see anything completely untoward, he told me something to look for which would isolate the problem if it next failed To date the Gate has been operating without incident. Thank you Ido for your very logical approach to what had been ongoing problems for some 5 mths. I can recommend him not only for his prompt service and very pleasant manner but his expertise, a rare find in the automated Gate world."
