The quote I received was the best price and included a detailed breakdown of where the money was being spent. The work was completed on time and to a high standard. "Top 2 Bottom Carpentry was appointed to carry out the installation of flush-mount latches on our french doors. One of Graham's guys spent a full day on site. the work was initially carried out to a very poor standard and the workmanship could be described as 'handy-man' at best - the latches were not flush with the timber and the recesses carved into the wood were not straight and oversized. I complained to Graham who advised me that this was because the Rimu timbers were too hard for the… router, and that they were thick with paint (not true). He agreed to undertake remedial work and the same guy came back the next week. After the second visit, the finish was an improvement - the latches were, for the most part, flush with the timbers and the gaps around the latches were filled with filler. Given the price, this was a disappointing experience, and in fact the first time that I have ever had to complain about a trades person."

"Hi Andy, So to hear about your bad experience, bad experiences is something we're not used to as we take every job very seriously which is why i arranged to come back and get this sorted asap. The builder i sent round is a very good experienced builder in which i've had on board for years, i wouldn't keep any builders with poor workmanship as its bad for business. The reasons as explained to you before for the flush bolts not being flush was because of the 4 bolts being slightly different models which was not noticed until your wife picked it up. 2 of these bolts were old stock in bunnings which were now discontinued as they were not straight along the top face meaning they were bowed and causing the under flush to happen. we sorted this out by coming back and replacing the 2 discontinued bolts with 2 new ones. I allowed 6 hours for this job which is all i charged you, and my builder was on site for 8hrs, this was because of the poor weather conditions outside where he was working, and also the hardness of the doors. The doors were a really hard rimu which the Router didn't like as it causes vibration on the cutter, so my builder needed to take more time to put get this right. Every job that you router into that has old paint on it will incur paint chips along the cutting line, even though the cutting lines were scribed before cutting they still happen. As discussed we did not include painting in our quotation. We strive do do our best on every job and will ALWAYS guarantee our work. "I had two projects completed while we were overseas.

1. Gib and new insulation replaced in kitchen, dining and hallway. New lights in hallway installed
2. Removal of existing wall in lounge, push back and create new recess creates. Gib replaced, power points installed.
Both full plastered, and ready to paint.

Graham offers full project management, and he’s awesome at it. With being overseas he kept me up to date via email, contacted the guy who was in there before him and kept in… contact with our painter too.

He understood the project beforehand, took lots of notes, and his quote was very detailed. Before he started he came back and confirmed everything again.

Definitely made me relaxed and confident in his abilities.

Really happy with the final results, came back to a clean site which was also great.

Highly recommended and would use again.
