"We had our exterior house painted, and are happy with their work. They filled in all the gaps in the exterior boards, and ensured the surface of the weather boards were smooth. This is worthy of noting that the boss is a trained builder as well, so when he finds rotton timber/timbers, he fixes them before the painting work - no need to wait a builder to come and do the building patch work."

"We could not be happier with the work that Ben and his team did in painting our 112 year old house which was looking pretty tired before they started. As well as doing a wonderful painting job Ben patched and replaced a considerable amount of rotten timber. Ben’s communication was great and he kept us very well informed as to what needed to be done and suggested ways of minimising the extra cost resulting from the extra work needing to be done to replace boards. The team was always here on time and did a really full days work with very few breaks.
I can’t recommend them highly enough."

"Ben and his team were outstanding.. I have never seen such thorough preparation. The stripping of old paint and sanding was meticulous, every nailhead in the weatherboards was spotted, surfaces were made smooth and regular and the resulting paint job is fantastic and should last many years. The same goes for the roof where all lichen was removed and, the nailheads and the ridgeline were coated with anti-corrosion paint before the the colour coats were applied. Ben and his team were a pleasure to deal with and no request was too great or overlooked."

"Ben and the team were fantastic. Great communication along the whole process, and very flexible and helpful when we had everything go wrong that could have gone wrong - including needing to strip the house back unexpectedly, a lot of unexpected rot, our replacement windows were delayed, Ben took it all in his stride, kept us informed so we knew what was happening and could make decisions. The team were efficient, very tidy and courteous, and did a wonderful job, stripping, prepping, painting and also replacing window flashings and rotten boards. Thanks guys!"

"We found Ben and his large staff of painters very reliable, courteous and tidy. Ben turned up at first to give us an on-site quote at the time we agreed on and gave me the price of the job there and then on the spot, we accepted Ben's quote. His approach is no nonsense and working knowledge very impressive. The painting crew came in after the house had been waterblasted clean and their work rate was phenomenal; prep, sanding, undercoat and two topcoats all completed to a very high standard in around five days. Ben also took on the job of replacing a rotten weather trim board next to a window and after he had painted and finished it, was very hard to tell that the wood had been worked on in any way. The whole job went like clockwork, once started the men went at it with a will without losing their high standard of finishing."

"Ben did an excellent job for a fair price. He was not the cheapest quote but the way he presented and professionalism won the job. He did what he said he would.
I don't live at the property any more and the project was undertaken mostly by remote control after the contract was agreed.
He turned up promptly to quote, came back quickly with his quote, negotiations were professional and agreed by both, the job started on time, unforeseen issues (rotten window frame etc.) were dealt with with excellent communications and fairly (he is very good at sorting problems and costs to sort are realistic!), his communication was excellent, he dealt with my friend (tenant) professionally and my friend was well satisfied with being kept informed, the lack of inconvenience, he did what he said he would on time and the quality of work being undertaken, I kept in touch via FaceTime with Ben and he was happy to show me exactly what had been achieved every few days. The job was finished more quickly than expected given the weather in Wellington was dreadful. I think any fine hour or two was used by his team. I inspected the final outcome and was very well satisfied with the excellent outcome he produced.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ben to home owners or to remote landlords as an honest, reliable and importantly - personable tradesman, to work with. He's no BS, he just gets into it - and keeps you fully informed.
My only issue was the cost of scaffolding, please buy some scaffolding Ben and your prices might be even more competitive.

"Ben and his team constructed a Timber balustrade approx. 20m in length. Construction standard was very high, and he was very helpful with coming up with cost saving solutions and different options to improve aesthetics. Work was quoted and completed in a timely manner, even given the COVID 19 restrictions in place at the time. "We lost some fibre cement cladding and needed a fairly urgent repair. Ben was the first to respond to our nocowboys listing, checked out the job the next day, made sure we saw his builders registration and kept us informed with options, pricing and ordering materials for repairs. And got the job done on a Saturday morning as soon as he had what he needed. Plus with some left over fibre cement sheet threw in another small repair. Definately consider Ben and his team."
