"We used Wasabi a year ago to install a Lossnay ventilation system. We found them to be professional and communicative throughout. The first assessment of our needs was honest and did not overpromise what the system would be able to achieve or sell us additional products beyond what our house needs. We really appreciated this and is one of the reasons we are comfortable that the system was right sized for our requirements. The installers were very professional, efficient and respectful of our home (and we enjoyed giving them a few sausages on the BBQ after they were done). We delayed reviewing until after a year had passed to ensure the system worked as it should (especially in the winter months) which it does. We are very happy with the air quality in our home since installing the Lossnay system and the services from Wasabi in supplying and installing it. We would highly recommend them."

"An overall outstanding customer service from the initial assessment, planning and quotation work completed by Paul through to the full completion of the job by the Wasabi installation team. We had 3 outdoor Mitsubishi heat pump systems (2 multi-split) and 5 indoor hi-wall units installed.

In particular for one unit, ducting installation was challenging to get into the upstairs family room due to the angling of the house and garage below. Paul come up with a great solution to run one set of pipes and draining up through the garage into and through a bedroom wardrobe to provide connectivity to the indoor hi-wall unit in the upstairs family room on the other side of that wardrobe. The installation team installed the ducting in a way that allowed us to very easily reinstall the wardrobe organiser system.

Throughout the 3 days onsite, the installation team were happy, cheerful, worked efficiently together and communicated well and often with us to keep us informed and seek clarification when needed.

Overall, our Wasabi team exceeded our expectations through their creativity in finding solutions, and overall skills and expertise. We highly rate the team."

"Very happy wilth dealing with Wasabi.
We're Masterton-based and needed a replacement heat pump in our house. Adrian from Wasabi came and assessed our needs and listened to our longer terms ideas and provided quotes to suit.
We also got quotes from a couple of other installers, but when I e-mailed all 3 asking for why I should choose them, only Wasabi responded .. and promptly. So Wasabi got the business - even though they cost a little bit more, I had greater confidence in them responding promptly if we ever have an issue with it.

Everyone at Wasabi that I have dealt with has been friendly (or at least pleasnt) and have communicated well.

(Note: I haven't given them a perfect rating because the installers were about 1/2 - 1 hour late arriving. Other than that, no issues.)"

"Unavoidable shipping delays because of Covid meant we had to wait several months for install. The company managed to source the second outdoor unit form another installer and then installed the whole promptly. "I can’t recommend the Wasabi team highly enough! We hired them to install a new Mitsubishi ducted heat pump system. The unit was installed in the attic and ducts dotted around the house in the ceiling.

The guys worked hard on the job for 3 days and I can’t rate them highly enough. We have an old house, which can be difficult at times! It didn’t phase the team from Wasabi at all! They arrived on time everyday, punctual, polite and all had a great sense of humour amongst them. Even when the odd challenge arose, they just got on with it and solved things.

They chose the ceiling vent spots very carefully and consulted with me on anything they weren’t sure about. They did clever things too, like making sure one of the vents was above the cats bed tower… some very, very happy warm cats when the job was done ????

The final installation is very tidy. There are a tonne of complicated air tubes running all over the loft, but the Wasabi guys didn’t leave it in a mess, they tied it all off nicely so we still have accessible storage space in the loft. This really was a top job, I can’t recommend the team highly enough! ????????"

"I am glad to finally have a working heat pump in our tenant's apartment again. It took a while to get a person to look at the broken unit and then a replacement unit installed. This was all communicated very well and due to the post-COVID market. The unit and installations seemed expensive but this was likely compounded by a trickier install which required moving the exterior unit location and mounting. The heat pump actually got installed a week earlier than expected which was great. The unit was installed as per direction. I have used Wasabi for years and they remain my preferred provided : )

There are a couple of easy things that would result in a better customer experience. These include:

- Cleanliness
. use of facilities left the white hand towel in our bathroom brown and dirty
. a used cup was left in the sink
. the entry rug leading into the apartment was left dirty from not removing shoes when walking between inside and outside areas where it was wet.
. A small amount of dust and plaster were left on the surfaces and floor around the repair areas.

- Follow-up work:
. A small hole was cut in the gib below a window which we will now need to be repair.

Our apartment is set up for guests so needs to be clean and ready. Fortunately, we didn't have a booking post-install. These things are all easily dealt with and I can handle them, but removing shoes when coming into the house, tidying up when finished, washing any dishes used and communicating about what the customer will need to do post-install would be good."

"Ethan who gave Quote didn’t seem to know product very well said the heat pumps I were interested in were using old refrigerant – he was wrong. Said it would take about 2 months to get heat pump I was wanting – time was actually halve this Poor email communication Took a week to reply to question.
Initial installation (Tony) was ok but outside unit was damaged on arrival this was replaced by someone learning the heat pump installation process. This didn’t go well had to get someone (Tony) back to see why not heating . Problem found.
Trainees need to be supervised .
Now water coming out bottom of unit rather than drain pipe. Wasabi advised of this. They Don’t seem to think an issue as nothing was done to fix it however mitsubishi Heavy Industries not impressed with this see below
“It seems the grommets where not put in then, in most cases however this should not
be needed however better to safer by adding a tiny bit of silicone.
I have put their area representative in copy so they see this and hopefully give
them a call to advise this is not acceptable to disregard this as not important.
I would however also advise them that you have been in contact with Auckland tech
support and these grommets are necessary to stop water from leaking out instead of
leaking out the drain hose as designed to when installed.”"

This is the second time we've had Jason do a maintenance check. He is trustworthy, reliable and friendly. Told me the sad news that my heatpump needed to be replaced. "It is so good to have a warm house again. Thank you Wasabi for your professional service in this difficult time.
It took 4 weeks from phoning Wasabi during level 2 lockdown to completion of installation of two new heat pumps – replacing one that had failed and the age-matched other that fortunately just lasted the distance.
It was 5 working days from phone call to repairman visit – he was punctual, careful, and quick to diagnose age-related compressor failure. We decided to replace both our heatpumps, even though the slightly smaller one had not yet failed – but was the same vintage.
A miscommunication between maintenance technician and projects director meant a slight problem with the first quote, but it just took a couple of phone calls to help identify exactly what we needed to install (we had a specific need for lowest possible operating noise). By the end of two working days we had a detailed quote we accepted, and an indication that the heat pumps would probably be installed the following week, after being transported from Auckland. One day later we had confirmation of instalment in 6 working day’s time, workmen to arrive around 8am and take most of the day.
Yes, it all happened precisely as planned, the two installers (Tony and Mali) were very efficient, and we are warm and happy.

Sales were honest about our challenging house and responsive to questions. Paul provided good information about our options. Once we selected a our preferred options and location for equipment to be installed they gave us a two week window for installation. The installers turned up on time, introduced themselves and started immediately they had the layout clear. They were efficient, tidy and did an impressive job. The system was installed in less time than expected and is very neat. I have since connected the wifi remote control without any hassle. Jordon at the office was right behind the installation and sales with efficient administration and invoicing.
We are very impressed by the whole team at Wasabi and would recommend them to anyone considering a heat pump system.

The Mitsubishi product really is quiet and warms the house."

"Good work from Wasabi air. Clear communication leading up to the installation of a new heat pump and relocation of an existing heat pump. On the day our installers hit a couple of snags and took longer than anticipated, however they kept and got the job done so we didn’t have to work from home for another day. One technician accidentally made a hole in our ceiling but wasabi air offered to fix it and cover the costs. Very happy and warm with our new heat pump!"

"When we noticed our existing heat pump was playing up I called Wasabi Air, I spoke with Jordan and was very pleasantry surprised when she said they could come and look it that afternoon. Jason arrived on time, completed a thorough inspection of the unit and identified the problem. Jason discussed the options with me and we agreed the best way forward was to replace our heat pump system. I visited the office and had a chat with Jaycee. "During a routine service the Wasabi Air guy broke my heat pump by sticking his metal thermometer into the moving parts, took ages to say what went wrong, didn't apologise. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, dropped one part of the filter into the garden. Woman in office was rude when I phoned to find a time to get it fixed, were not able to come at a time that suited me and the firm didn't apologise for breaking it or the inconvenience caused and charged me the full price for the 'service'. Would not recommend the firm."

"Before using Wasabi, I had a provider which I contracted to service my heat pumps annually for 2 years in a row. One of the units broken down in the middle of winter and took them nearly 2 week to attend. When they told me that it either needs serious repair or be replaced, I thought how come this was not picked up during the regular maintenance/service. I then requested a quote for a new unit. All I ever got was a bill for that inspection and no quote for the new unit that I badly needed (in the middle of winter). This just tells me that they don't care so I decided a switch is in order.
I called Wasabi and got scheduled an appointment just 3 days later. Paul turned up and had professionally assessed my situation and provided the quote shortly after. The crews then came on the agreed date and did a clean cut A1 job as per the details on the quote without surprises. I know who I will call when my other heat pump needs servicing. Thank you Wasabi for the speedy and high quality service provided to us at a competitive price."

"We just had Air Conditioning and Heating installed into four bedrooms.
Adrian, Tony, Tom, and Ethan were absolutely excellent. They kept me informed every step of the way and were a pleasure to have around the house (which they left very tidy).

Part of the job required them to move an older Heat Pump unit from one room to another, and in the process of this they discovered that faulty installation some years ago by the then homeowner had caused the pipes to corrode and become brittle. This could have caused the pipes to leak into our walls, but the guys caught it in time and investigated. Wasabi management was quickly brought into the loop and a range of alternatives were offered. We renegotiated the quote over the phone and a new single-room Heat Pump / A/C unit was ordered, delivered, and installed within the original installation period.

We're very happy with the whole service from initial consultation to final installation. They're very pleasant and professional, and I highly recommend them."

"Great, and friendly, service from start to finish. The initial consultation was professional and friendly, as were all email communications from the office. The installers arrived on time and laid a ground sheet across the carpet for walking on. They removed the old heat pump and replaced it with a new Fujitsu and showed me how to work it before they left, taking the old heat pump with them. Very tidy job and no mucking about.
