  "I would not recommend Eric Lyng, Mega Construction or the CEL Group of companies to anyone looking for a builder. We hired Eric to fix our ranch slider and the first day on the job he charged us $500 for two rolls of sealing tape which we were later told only cost $20.00 from Bunnings. Firstly he only required one roll and secondly this should have been included in the job as "making water tight" was listed on our quote. Eric and Paul did a poor job of installing the door and when we… questioned them about it they stormed off the job, we haven't seen or heard from Eric since (with our 50% deposit). We had a professional door installer look at the job who said it was one of the worst he had seen. I tried to find out later if Eric and Paul are even licensed builders and could not get a straight answer out of anyone at CEL. We have battled with this company to get our money back and they have done nothing but give us the run around, email after email - they are un-contactable by phone. All I can say to anyone looking for professional, qualified builders is to stay away from these people!"

  "Eric and his team were excellent
  I wanted to extend my house and placed an add in the new paper and got one reply .I was told by my nabour to try NO Cowboys and I laughed and thought that she was joking. So I did and got 4 reply and it was free to place the add.CEL was one of them that came around and quoted. We went with Eric from Cel and we told him what we wanted. He sat down with me and my partner and did some sketches and took measurement it took about 2 hours. He came back 3 week… later and presented us with the drawings of the extension to the house, ready to go to council. He also gave us a price, which was a bit on the high side. His price was high but if you add the cost of drawings plus Eric team took it to council it worked out a good price Compared to an Architect that we saw earlier. The construction went without a hitch. And with Eric been on site most of the time, doing the work with his carpenter, there was no problem on the job. It was completed and signed off by council last month. Eric and his team re sowed the grass, and left the place clean of all rubbish. Would highly recommend this company to anybody that wants a full renovation it’s a one stop shop.Thank you Eric and your team."

  "I asked Eric @ CEL to Renovate my bathroom in Huntley The bathroom was built in 1970 and was in a bad state of repair. He redesign it and
  completed it in one week and it look like a 5 star hotel bathroom.I wish i could show a photo of it .They also added a toilet in as it did not have one before,now i have a 2nd toilet in my house.The price was good and with in budget.Workmanship was excellent."

  "CEL & Associate Consulting Engineers Ltd were engaged by MX Design to design the foundations of my building. Eric outsourced this work to an engineering company and added a margin. We were not made aware of this and were led to believe he was the engineer. At the end of the project he would not issue a PS4 which was required to gain code of compliance. We later found out that Eric is not a registered engineer and therefore not authorised to issue producer statements. CEL appear to have good… comments about building projects they have done, however if you need engineering work done where a PS4 is required, you are better to deal directly with a professional registered engineer."

  "Well it good to see that some people like to write negative comments. We only dealt with MX Design and at no time Did Michael Macfie of MX Design Confirm with our office or Eric that his client needed a PS4.Because under our contract with MX Design or any person It has to be pre arranged prior to commencement of any construction been started Especially with footings and foundation . As for our company cannot supply PS4 that is in correct. We can give a producer statement. Most of the time the Council prefer a person that has been approved by them. We have one of our associate Engineers that the Council has approve of. Eric has been design footings and foundation for the last 40 years. And if he feels that it requires a second opinion. We send it Over to Dodds Civil who check his design and calculation. If DODD CIVIL think that particular design for a ascertain job will Not work they will make changes to Eric design .BEVAN McDonald is very rude to our staff He still owes us money from 2008. There is a reason why we did not grant Bevan a PS4 And it to do with his Builder and comment made by our Building Inspector, Re work in progress We also have written apologies from BEVAN McDonald. Which will be on our Gallery soon. Eric design his footings, and Dodd Civil checked it out and The Council Engineers granted the Building Consent. So he was able to start building. In other words Eric foundation for this job was approved by Council. “We believe that it took Bevan 1year and 5 month to complete his small Garage” Eric track record speaks for it self Writer My Name is Mrs. C.   "We are in the final stages of completing a major villa renovation with Eric and his team. To date, the work has been of a high quality and exceeded our expectations. He has tried to accommodate our change requests as reasonably as possible and has managed the consent and approval process with the council superbly. I wouldnt hesitate having Eric and team work on our future projects."

Not only did Eric meet these requirements, we feel that he exceeded them.
