It was our pleasure to have worked with tiger transport for our move.
Kyle was fantastic and prompt in arranging a team for us last minute. The team arrived before time, and promptly started their work.
The transport of all our things was done very carefully and professionally.
The team of 6 guys were fantastic. A big shout out to the team: Johno, Dane, Jordan, Talent, Vai & Caiden!!! Always smiling and diligent. They were extremely helpful and were very quick. We… appreciated the after hours time they put in.
Kyle and David were both super generous with their time always answering their mobile phones and answering all our questions.
We would recommend tiger transport to all our friends. We are extremely grateful for all the people who made our move successful and stress free today.

On the day, $ 500 damage done to a door frame and washing machine dropped on its face.
I communicated this straight away, then had to follow up as no response.
Was asked to send photographs, which I did, no response.
Followed up with a phone call, was told they will look into it, no response.
Sent a quote for the damage to be repaired, no response.
Sent my proof… of payment to fix the door frame, no response.
So here I am 3 weeks later leaving a poor review. Sales communication was great, but once the job is done, no one interested in resolving any problems. I have since paid to have the frame repaired as the new owners are moving in.
Would definitely recommend and use these movers again!

On moving day he Bazza and Lo did an efficient, safe and careful job of moving our pre-packed boxes and loose items. Kyle… was good at pointing out the damage that had already been done on bits of our furniture and the whole move was carried out with super speed, respect and safety. Worth the extra dollars. And the additional man to do the job too.

On the Friday I was not at the retirement village when the furniture was delivered my younger sister was with Mum and what those that delivered did was above and beyond in that as I understand it they stayed until Mum and… my sister arrived and then moved all of the furniture to where it was to be placed and moved all of the boxes so they were close to where the contents were to be put away.

I fourth vendor refused to quote my move because of the driveway. Tiger not only… managed it, but they managed it well. A simply wonderful team to work with. If you are moving, book them early. Their calendar is usually full.

My moving crew this time were Anthony and Rusty. They turned up on time as promised. These guys are legends! They know how to load a truck to capacity and maximise the space. They treated every item with care and seemed to be able to lift heavy objects with extreme ease. They even… handled moving a large safe! All on a humid day and always with a smile. Well mannered, polite lads, but with a great sense of humour.

"I would like to write this email in regards to my move with Tiger Transport on Friday May 20th 2016.
When I called Tiger Transport, it was through a Facebook page suggestion, and I had really left the move to the last minute ? there was really only 10 days or so before I moved that I needed a company to use. You were funny, but polite and caring about my needs and made me laugh when I knew my time was running out. You assured me it was no problem and would have two of your best… guys there on that Friday morning at 8 am. I thought, yeah, yeah, Ive heard that before! But, I got up and was ready to go for 8am. Sure enough, 7.55 am rolls around and two guys are walking down my driveway ? surely these aren?t the moving guys I asked for?! Umm, yes, they sure were! They had my entire house put in their truck in 45 minutes! I had only just come back with the coffees when they said they had finished and was there anything else! I was astounded! Not only had they turned up on time, but they?d packed my things in record time! It was rush hour and instead of taking the motorway (which would?ve taken ages, and therefore cost me more) they took the back roads! Again, astounded! They had unpacked all of my things and placed them where I asked in a timely and caring manner. They were chatty and easy to talk with and found them ever so professional. The cost was the cheapest I have ever come across, but it was the service that really shone on Friday.
Thank you Dave, everything you said to me was correct and you really opened my eyes to the actual cowboys I have used over the years. I will always use Tiger Transport for any other move I have as well as telling all my friends and family about your professionalism.

I highly recommend Tiger Transport / Taxi trucks for the reasons above. They had to rent a truck on the day to be able to fulfill my job and did it seamlessly.
Move day - they were prompt. Very clean truck and extremely well mannered. They accommodated to all our requests and took great care to move stuff into the truck and then back into our new… house. They were very careful with the items and not to scratch the walls etc.

Carlos Torres was the customer service rep who took our enquiry and he was great with his prompt and clear communication over email and on the phone. He visited our house to give us a proper written quote too which was good.
The team turned up on time and were quick, efficient and friendly as you'd hope.
The price was as per the quote with no hidden surprises.
All in all I'd definitely use again and highly recommend too.

For what it is worth we used JOHN SCOTT REMOVALS in the past and they were ABSOLUTELY APPALLING. POOR SERVICE, HUGELY… OVERCHARGED, WE FELT COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF - DON'T GO NEAR THEM WITH A BARGE POLE.

From the start the communication was excellent with prompt communication from the Head Office, and Kyle did a great job in understanding what we needed.
Nick, Keron and Dewit turned up on time,… and worked really hard. Always cheerful, polite and respectful with us, and with the furniture! They even asked if we wanted any help with shifting anything around after they had moved it all in.
We will definitely use them again if we move, and will be telling everyone how good they are too. Great job guys - thanks!

We recently organised a move for our parents from two pick-up points in Auckland to one location in Whangarei. The correspondence we had with David and Kyle (via telephone and e-mail) was both helpful and professional, so that organising everything leading up to our parents' move was easy and efficient.
The guys Nick and Andre arrived on time, they were efficient at each location, they took care of the items that they were shifting and were… pleasant and approachable. After our parents arrived in Whangarei, we received a message from them saying that Nick and Andre were "wonderful and nothing was any trouble, and they took all the heavy stuff up the stairs". Our parents also said that they were "more than happy with the price they paid". The cost for the entire job was hard to beat (and believe me, we did our research and got quotes from a lot of furniture moving companies).
Since the transition was smooth, the experience was pleasant, and the cost was more than reasonable, I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TIGER TRANSPORT, for all your transporting needs!!

"CARLOS spared no time in assessing our needs and the quote was emailed just as he promised.
We did a lot of work getting ready for the move in the hope that it made it easier for the boys. We'd already taken over the fragile, electronics and big bitsy stuff to the new house. We rented… "Ecomove" (http://www.ecomove.co.nz) boxes for all the rest - those rented crates are also HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for moving house, well worth the rental.
So on the day, when ROBBIE and CLAUDIO arrived to move us, they were very appreciative of the effort we went to to make their job easier - but at the end of the day, when you're paying by the hour, it makes economic sense to do so.
We can't praise ROBBIE and CLAUDIO more highly. Those boys could move! Not only were they fit and strong, they were great strategic thinkers - necessary when we had a tight stairwell. Their manner and conversation was extremely pleasant and they obviously took pride in their work. The care they took with our belongings (and the walls etc of the house) couldn't have been more fastidious.
They appreciated refreshments when offered so if you hire Tiger for your move, be sure to have some on hand - they'll earn every drink and snack (p.s. Robbie has a sweet tooth). Actually our old landlord provided refreshments this time - the boys thought that was pretty unusual. I guess it was.
Anyway, if you're thinking of a moving company that will treat your gear as if it were their own - GO TIGER!

All their time estimates were perfect and they did it quickly with little breaks but very carefully.
They even put up our rather technical beds and quickly installed our washing machine.
They were also just really nice guys to have around in what can be a pretty stressful day.
This is the second time we have used Tiger Transport… in 2 months. Originally they gave us the cheapest quote after extensive questioning and were perfect on timings and quote and this time again instead of the 3 people I thought we would need he convinced me to take 2 for longer hours and he would put the right team on it.

The first company provided a quote over the phone, Carlos from your company came out to actually view our furniture and items to be shifted and the chap from the third company got lost on the way to our place and never showed up...
Whilst the Tiger quote wasn't the lowest, we felt confident that your company would do a good job. We confirmed our booking and agreed on an… early morning 7am start on moving day.
A couple of days before the move, I received a phone call confirming that all is go and yes, we were ready.
On moving day, at 7am sharp, two trucks and four burly men showed up at our place. Rusty, John, Hamish and Tim quickly got started and worked tirelessly filling up the first truck and then straight on to the second one.
They were very careful with our precious furniture and breakable items like large mirrors and paintings and they seemed to have a great deal of fun loading what appeared to be a huge amount of "stuff", some of it very heavy. According to Hamish though "there's no such thing as too heavy".
Once we arrived at the other end, we sat on the deck and I shouted the team pizza and cold drinks for lunch. They didn't waste time and quickly got into maneuvering their huge truck down the narrow drive and then on to unloading it.
They placed furniture items and countless boxes exactly where we wanted them right throughout the house and were always friendly and happy to go the extra mile [literally - as we couldn't get the truck right close to the front door...] asking "where would you like this to go" over and over again...
They finally finished after an 11.5 hour marathon!
These guys did a great job! Rusty, John, Hamish and Tim are fantastic guys, friendly, funny and strong! They just keep going until it's done, which is exactly what we as customers were hoping for.
I highly recommend Tiger Transport and am happy to be a reference for any future client considering your services.

Although we were located in a remote part of NZ, we felt safe and well looked after immediately from our very first enquiry regarding a truck to our part of the country. Rick was fast and prompt with a quote ,… answering queries, and extremely helpful when we felt lost and bewildered about how to itemize our household items.
Then the day came for actual removals and I blessed the Gods when I saw 2 Jonah-Lomu look alikes arrive to lift and lug all our heavy furnishings onto the Tiger truck. Hamish and Rusty were kind and careful and considerate of our belongings and I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything. They took the same care whilst de-vanning, and they even have storage options for those that need this. We cannot thank Tiger Transport enough for their care and eye for detail. We will definitely be utilizing their services again in the future. Very highly recommended.

"Our move was average. Some of the guys were nicer than others, but overall the move itself was fine. They arrived on time, finished when they said they would and did everything they were required to do. With one huge exception. One of the guys broke a statuette that had great personal value to me. It was left in… the lounge, unwrapped, as we had decided to hand carry it over to our new house. We figured, why waste all that bubble wrap It is a plaster cast buddha and not very heavy.
The guys seemed to be going along fine so we went out to lunch. Arriving back, my statue was in pieces on the lawn!! There was barely an apology!! The guy who broke it and the manager (can't remember his name) were almost sullen about it. The manager's attitude was "oh, well, **** happens, sometimes we break things". He said almost exactly that in fact!
But the real problems started when I tried to get Dave Baird to put in an insurance claim! This piece is a one off, or at least simply not available any more. It was purchased in the USA and I could not find anything comparable for a comparison price. But I did find something close enough. Still it took many, many phone calls, emails and 9 MONTHS!!!!! to finally get a settlement! And how much did I get paid out to have had to wait so very long $500!!! That's all!
I submitted a repair claim for $650 and the insurance company settled it for $500 for depreciation time. So why in the world did it take so damn long for such a small amount No idea. Every time I would call Dave I got some sort of story. Usually it was, "oh, right, I guess I forgot to file the claim". It was so infuriating, But still I was paitent, until finally I wasn't and really pressed Dave to get this sorted once and for all.
I heard from the insurance company representative in late May about the settlelement. Initially they were going to send me a check directly. But then I got an email saying that Tiger Transport had requested the settlement go to them and they would pay me. That was on May 30. On June 21, tired of waiting for what was to be a quick payout, I emailed the insurer to ask when they had paid Tiger Transport. The response The money had been paid the same day! When I called Dave, he said, "oh, yeah, I was just about to send that to you". When I demanded to know why he had waited three weeks from when he had received MY MONEY from the insurer, he said he had just received it a few days prior. Not what the insurance company said.
I strongly advise great caution in using this company, especially if you have anything of value. Because while they might do a good enough job moving you, don't expect much if you ever have a claim. Their service from that point on was appalling. Nine months to settle a $500 claim is completely unacceptable by any standards!!!

"I got a quote from a competitor and was told $60 per hour for two people.
Unfortunately this company was fully booked on the day I wanted them so I turned to Tiger Transport.
David quoted me $115 per hour plus $35 per hour for each extra person. I ‘little’ higher however I had little choice.
At some stages we had two staff working and sometimes four staff.
Also at one stage one of the guys went into a closed bedroom where my wife was… sleeping (she had just finished working a late shift) even though he had been told on several occasions that there was nothing in that room to pack!
This incident apart the guys were a good bunch and worked hard.
When the bill was totalled at the end of the day I was charged two lots of $115 when there where 4 staff working not $115 $35 * 2 per hour.
The result I was overcharged by $45 per hour when there was 4 staff on the job, a total overcharge of about $450.
When I queried this I was told it was because in order to get four staff there those two trucks were required to transport them so I had to pay for two trucks (i.e. $115 *2 per hour).
I was given a credit of $15 per hour however I still feel mislead and ripped off.
So be wary when getting a quote here! No more Cowboys

If I had gone by the yellow pages, because the ad was small I had initially missed it, so only rung moving companies with the big ads that advertised prices under $100. That turned out to be a little… misleading to be honest because they did not include their call out fee, their base to house and back again fee, so that in fact, in all the companies I rang, their fees really were $100 or over.
When I called TT for a quote, the guy on the phone gave me a full inclusive cost. I was just about to end the conversation thinking that it was I would go back to the big ad companies. But without realising that I was about to hang up, he explained how movers charge, and they included all the fees in one. I would have been none the wiser without his explanation because none of the other companies really explained that. I checked out what he said by calling back the other companies to verify what the all up fee would be. And why. And TT had given me correct advice. The big ads were misleading in the sense that they advertise a rate of say $60 or so. But that didn't include the call out fee or the base to where-ever fee.
Tiger, on the other hand, charge you one fee and quote you one fee only. Sorry bout the long explanation but I think it's important to point that out to people unfamiliar with how the pricing works. I would highly recommend Tiger Transport because they were straight up and honest about the fee, and they did what they said they would do. Will be recommending you guys to others as well, most definitely.

Where I would have expected them… to slow down lifting heavy furniture etc on a rare hot sunny day, they were literally running out of the truck for their next load.
I expected good service based on other feedback on this site, but what I got was far better than good. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone going through the stressful process of moving house and if I do move again, one day in the distant future, I won't be shopping around, I'll be going straight back to Tiger transport.

I move from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedroom unit on Saturday, single level, which only takes 15 mins drive. But end up I need to pay $1,000 for the move. Just a tyipical family with 2 little kids. And the movers said the volume is acceptable. Even the movers are surprised with the charges.
The back office just kept calling me for the same questions and very bad arrangement to what I have asked. I won’t use this company… anymore! The movers themsevles are good and nice but not directly employees.
